Some time ago, I needed to do some thinking about my DTM system and was reviewing my music data.  At that time, I suddenly noticed this song by Mrs Rhymes.  About a year ago, I think.  I had a preliminary recording of my guitar to go along with this wonderful piece.  Remembering that, I played it back and listened.  I didn't like my guitar playing, even though it was just a temporary recording for notes.  I don't think the sounds and phrases I used at that time match the original song.  Compared to that, the original song is still great.  So I grabbed my guitar and started recording.  A few hours later, I was in the process of uploading my freshly finished work here.

The key of this song is C#, and I think that what we should be aware of as a performance style is "B♭m/C# pentatonic".
I do not mix tapping, sweeping, or other fancy playing techniques in my guitar playing with this outstanding piece. I tried to keep the accompaniment very simple. This excellent piece, which I picked up as an example this time, will be finished with two things in mind: "B♭m/C# pentatonic". However, in a blues scale song, one song uses four pentatonic forms. Therefore, first of all, I believe that it is very important to be aware of "two things" on a daily basis and to practice guitar playing repeatedly.

And before we understand it in words, what we value most is the encounter with works and artists that we can continue to enjoy playing along with our favorite music as many times as we want, even ten times if necessary. Right?

Borderline mentalist ‘disciple’ returns to Perfecto Fluoro with a solid EP of drilling club material. Absolutely hammered by Oakenfold, Simon Patterson and John Askew over the last few months “The Mayans Are Coming Back” this is the first of a series of EPs forthcoming from FD on Fluoro.  

As included on Oakendfold’s “We Are Planet Perfecto” compilation in October 2014 the title track reeks of signature Future Disciple acid and mystic mayhem. It’s filthy yet sharp, dirty yet clean. It’s an epic of mammoth proportions from a legendary producer who holds a god like status in the Perfecto office. 

“Gold Sweepers” is a worthy partner in crime and together the pair will infiltrate and deceive you like Bonnie and Clyde. Or Cannon and Ball.

Randy “Windtalker” Motz has been playing Native American flute since 2000, after being inspired by famed Native American flute player Robert Mirabal. Over the last four years, he has performed his contemporary Native American-style flute music in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Vermont.  As part of his performances, he projects his wife’s photos of their travels to create: The Windtalker Experience.  A portion of all proceeds from his performances and CD sales go to: Futures for Children, charity that offers educational opportunities to students on reservations.

“Canyon Whispers” was inspired by a visit my wife and I made to Canyon de Chelly several years ago. We were very fortunate to have a Navajo guide who took us into the canyon, out to Spider Rock, and then back to his small family ranch at the base of some ruins. We were extremely excited when he asked if we would like to camp there for the night and of course, we said, “yes.” It was a remarkable experience, since camping overnight in this part of canyon is strictly prohibited. As we laid in our tent, looking up at the evening sky, glistening with the light of millions of stars, we knew we were in a sacred place; a place where you could still hear the whispers of the “Ancient Ones.” This once-in-a-lifetime experience birthed the song, “Canyon Whispers.”

The temple of Karnak was known as Ipet-isu—or “most select of places”—by the ancient Egyptians. It is a city of temples built over 2,000 years and dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. This derelict place is still capable of overshadowing many wonders of the modern world and in its day must have been awe-inspiring.
The Egyptians believed that towards the end of annual agricultural cycle the gods and the earth became exhausted and required a fresh input of energy from the chaotic energy of the cosmos.
The statue of the god Amun was bathed with holy water, dressed in fine linen, and adorned in gold and silver jewellery. The priests then placed the god in a shrine and onto the ceremonial barque supported by poles for carrying. Pharaoh emerged from the temple, his priests carrying the barque on their shoulders, and together they moved into the crowded streets. A troop of Nubian soldiers serving as guards beat their drums, and musicians accompanied the priests in song as incense filled the air.
