Leipzig and its musicians – they are quite something. The city’s music history includes Johann Sebastian Bach, Matthias Tanzmann and Thomas Brachmann. However, Brachmann is probably rather known under his acronym TOM B. Although TOM B. reads “tomb”, “grave” in the English language, in the context of music, it stands for his DJ sets and productions fully enjoying live. 
People say that Leipzig is the new Berlin, especially when it comes to clubbing and music. Paul Kalkbrenner was born here, however, he moved to the capital, later. What used to be dark and sooty due to the established industry and coal mining is now surrounded by newly created see landscapes, thriving with new life. Leipzig has come to be known as “Hypzig”. TOM B., born in 1984 on the southern outskirts of the trade-fair city, has experienced that amazing change first-hand, has even given it is own face. He started to perform as a DJ in 1999. In 2001 he had his first gig in the legendary Distillery club that is Germany’s oldest House & Techno Club.

Up until the year 2005 he was a Distillery resident, he was the first five years of the millennium at home, here. Since 2009 the Skyclub is his home base, unless he has gigs in Amsterdam, Budapest, Berlin, Hamburg or Munich. Additionally, TOM B. has been a member of Dusted Decks right of its outset, which counts 9 years by now. His sound is characterized by House, Deephouse and Tech House. Remixes for David K. and Nicolas Hannig, M-22 and Anton Ishutin are what he is known for.

TOM B. will take part in the “About:Berlin” Compilation by Universal Music and present “Drive without Engine”. His productions are released on Damm und Klang Gymnastik, Fukai, Music/Great Stuff and Well Done! together with remixes by Lexer, Teenage Mutants and Rich vom Dorf or by
Ron Flatter, Nico Pusch and Thomas Lizzara.

Even if the year 1984 – which marks the birth of TOM B. – predicts a rather dark vision in the eyes of George Orwell in 1949 – we have to say that looking back at 1984 now, in 2015, that year must have been an excellent one! Music by and from Leipzig is en vogue – and we rightly owe that to Tom B., too!

Hellmood, who was born 1987 in East Germany (Leipzig), is totally forfeited with techno. This scene experienced its rise for the current era.
Now it is time to bring this style on the dance floor and make the music epicurean for the clubbers.

Wenn man in der Leipziger Clubszene von einem „süßen Fratz“ am DJ Pult spricht, kann eigentlich nur von einer jungen Dame die Rede sein: Cutie Pie!

Die Newcomer DJane aus dem Hause Beatbrothers ist nun seit 2 Jahren an den Turntables und mauserte sich Stück für Stück zur ernst zunehmenden Nachwuchskünstlerin.
Die geborene Leipzigerin kam bereits sehr früh mit der Musik- und Veranstaltungsszene in Berührung. Und dies nicht nur, weil sie in unmittelbarer Nähe von Leipzigs bekanntesten Clubs „Distillery“ und "Velvet"
aufwuchs, sondern weil auch Cutie Pie in ihrer früheren Zeit oft als Zuschauer, -hörer und Party-Stammgast in Leipzig’s Szene unterwegs war.
Im Jahre 2009 kam dann erstmalig die Idee zum „selbst Musik machen“ auf.
Passende Beats und Tracks gab es genug auf dem Markt der Elektronischen Musik und auch ein Name wurde, dank einer guten Freundin und einem Dance – Lied, schnell gefunden.
Beeinflusst wurde ihre Musik, die sie selbst als eine Mischung aus Electro/ Techno/ Indie und Nu Rave bezeichnet, durch Künstler wie Felix Cartal, Erol Alkan, Sébastien Léger, Jan Driver, Hey! Today und Djedjotronic.
Musikalisch gesehen ist ihr großes Vorbild allerdings die französische DJane, Sängerin und Produzentin: Miss Kittin.
Wie auch andere weibliche DJane’s musste Cutie Anfangs mit den Vorurteilen
wie: „…die funktioniert doch nur weil sie Brüste hat…“ kämpfen. Aber umso mehr wurde geübt, gebastelt und aufgelegt. Und die Arbeit lohnt sich denn mit ihrem aktuellen Promomix zeigt sie uns, dass eine weibliche DJane nicht nur hübsch sondern auch voll mit Ideen, Durchsetzungsvermögen und dem Spaß an der Musik bepackt sein muss!

If you’re into underground tech house and techno, then you should no doubt be familiar with the works of Raumakustik. The German duo were responsible for the underground summer anthem ‘‪#‎Raider‬’ that landed on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations label last year, which went on to be THE biggest track of 2015. The pair now return with their follow-up single ‘Logic’, and it lands on Toolroom Records in June.

With a healthy dose of bump and chunk this one nods its head to the underground as it does equally to the accessible dance floors in true Toolroom style. When you pair this track up with the unmistakable vocals, having received nod of approval from the dance music titans themselves - Daft Punk - we are confident that this one will be rather large for the upcoming Ibiza season.
