Taking a Day Off is what Teho and Romain Garcia wanted to do when composing their latest single. Leaving all responsibilities behind, the two artists instead focused all their energy on the production of this title, in turn losing themselves in the beauty of the track. At a point, they felt like being totally immersed in another reality, granting themselves the ability to let their creativity be fully expressed. Day Off is a crossroads between both musical universes, sweet and deep from Romain’s side, and electric and intense from Teho’s.

LT0062 // Teho & Makoto San - Hanten
Teho and Makoto San have been in touch for a while but the story of "Hanten" started when they shared the stage together in Paris. During that night, Teho was immediately impressed by Makoto San's massive instrumentarium which is composed by many traditional Japaneese instruments, mainly percussions made with bamboos, but also by their skills while using them. At this right moment, they decided to work together on a collaboration track. Teho sent them a draft project, Makoto San have used their Bamboos, Anklungs and Gendèr to sublime the track and to build the main elements of the melodies. Atmospheric and grandiose, "Hanten" brims with tension, building to a powerful crescendo of shimmering synthesis and floor shaking drums.

Restrained, majestic and atmospheric, Teho once again displays his rich understanding of complex and nuanced production, taking us on a deep dive through sweeping synths, crisp drums and roof-raising euphoria. Through this new single, Teho wanted to find in his origins what makes him an artist. He understood that it wasnt obvious for him to become a musician at first because he never took any musical lessons, and nobody in his family was from this world. But his life experiences, his traumas, his joys, all of this gave him a lot of emotions to share and the best way for him to express them was music. In the end, he inferred that it is completely possible to draw on his roots but to build a path other than the one predestined to him. If you've been following his latest singles, you'll have high expectations for Origins. Rest assured, Teho delivers his best yet.

Teho presents his most exciting project to date, "Shifting", the third studio album from this continuously evolving and sonically enticing producer. This project is presented as an introspective journey through which Teho wanted to understand his deepest fears, anxieties and traumas, but above all, to heal them. Crossing bright phases full of hope contrasted by darker moments where fury takes over, "Shifting" is the reflection of a quest towards inner peace, and of a cure which would recover the traumas of an artist who does not understand not the reasons for his unhappiness when everything seems to be smiling on him.
