Fábián Juli & Zoohacker

The electro-acoustic formation was founded in 2011 by Juli Fábián and Zoltán Palásti Kovács (alias Zoohacker): two artists who have deep musical roots in different distinguished musical genres finally finding a solely unique tune together. The two artistic pools submerged into one, resulting in an effective composer-duo being able to create genuinely special pieces of art right from the beginning.
The uniqueness of the songs is due to the fact that although almost all modern genres are involved in the creative process, traditional styles also gain a brand new meaning, suddenly all sounding very up-to-date. This, and some modern arrangement does the job: here goes some quality pop-music.
Soundtracks and live concerts feature Gergő Katona (winds, violin), Gábor Udvarhelyi (guitar) and István Bata (bass).


Az elektroakusztikus formációt 2011-ben alapította a két különböző műfajból érkező, mégis közös hangot találó zenész: Fábián Juli és Palásti Kovács Zoltán alias Zoohacker. A két zenész világának összefonódása egy olyan hatékony szerzőpárost hívott életre, mely azonnal egyedi hangvételű saját szerzeményeket komponált. A számok különlegességét az adja, hogy egyrészt a régi zenei stílusok mellett szinte az összes modern irányzat teret kap, másrészt a régebbi műfajok újraértelmeződnek a mai modern felfogás és az elektronikus hangszerelés által, s mindennek eredménye igazi minőségi popzene. Mind a felvételeken, mind az élő koncerteken megszólalnak a formáció további hangszeresei: Katona Gergő (fúvós hangszerek, hegedű), Udvarhelyi Gábor (gitár), Bata István (basszusgitár).

Originally released by Musical Freedom, the instrumental edit of 19-year-old Oliver Heldens’ deep house smash ‘Gecko’ has become a staple in club sets for 2014, peaking at #2 in the Beatport chart and garnering support from the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Zane Lowe. 

The latest edit ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’, written and vocalled by Becky Hill during a late night recording session with MNEK, is being released by Parlophone’s vital new dance imprint FFRR. Initially written for another vocalist, Becky’s towering vocal on Gecko’s chorus was deemed the perfect fit and has already been coined the ‘Hottest Record in the World’ by Zane Lowe.
