He made his breakthrough with 2019’s UK Top 10 single, ‘Sorry’, which also broke the all-time 24-hour Shazam record in the UK with over 41,000 recorded tags, paving the way for collaborations with the likes of Charli XCX, Saweetie, David Guetta, Rita Ora, and Bryson Tiller, as well as a further five Top 10 records – including 2020’s anthemic UK #1 single and global smash, ‘Head & Heart’ ft. MNEK. Joel later released his Gold-certified, UK Top 5 debut album, ‘Another Friday Night’, in October 2023 to critical acclaim, with The Face saluting Joel’s ability to pump out “pristine party-starters”.

Over the last five years, Joel has also played sold-out headline tours across the UK, US, Europe and Australia, performed at the MTV EMAs, The Pride Of Britain Awards and The British Grand Prix at Silverstone and marquee festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra, as well as coveted residences at flagship venues in Las Vegas and Ibiza. He also polled at #36 in DJ Mag’s internationally renowned Top 100 poll in 2024 — up five places from 2023.

Markus Weismüller ist ein DJ mit einer Leidenschaft für Musik, die er schon in jungen Jahren entdeckte. Seine musikalische Reise begann im Alter von 11 Jahren, als er Lionel Richies "All Night Long" zum ersten Mal hörte und etwas Besonderes darin spürte. Diese Erfahrung weckte seine Liebe zur Musik und führte ihn auf den Weg des DJing.

Markus betrachtet DJing als mehr als das reine Auflegen von Musik. Für ihn ist es ein umfassendes Paket aus Gefühl, Timing, Musikauswahl, Technik und Kreativität. Sein Ziel ist es nicht nur, Musik zu spielen, sondern sie auch zu vermitteln und die Menschen dazu zu bringen, mit ihr zu fühlen, zu tanzen und Spaß zu haben.

Seine erste Erinnerung an Musik ist mit den Vinyl-Schallplatten verbunden, die sein Vater nach Hause brachte. Schon damals erkannte er, dass Musik eine starke Wirkung auf ihn hatte und mehr als nur Melodie war.

Markus Weismüller hat sich auf verschiedene Genres spezialisiert, darunter Soul, Funk, Disco und House. Er hat in verschiedenen Veranstaltungen und Clubs aufgelegt, darunter Bar and Funk, What the Funk, M-Oelde (Madrigal) Reloaded, SL Reloaded, Get Funky, DJ in Town, Verler Leben, Extrem Beweglich, Funky Friday und viele mehr. Die Clubs, in denen er aufgelegt hat, reichen von Inside über Madrigal, M-Oelde, P4, Extra, Livingroom, Übernacht, M's Club, Lokschuppen, Weberei, E2 bis hin zu Faces.

Markus Weismüller findet sein Glück darin, die Tanzfläche mit Liebe und guter Musik zu füllen und die Menschen dazu zu bringen, die Musik zu erleben und zu genießen. Für ihn ist Musik ein mächtiger Auslöser für Emotionen, Erinnerungen und Glücksgefühle, und er teilt diese Leidenschaft gerne mit seinem Publikum.
