The internets are serious business nowadays so I'd like to make clear the title is an inside joke.   I'm the most passive considerate nincompoop on the planet.  

So yeah, I dorked around with synths and made banging noises again today.  Back to responsibilities tomorrow...  Maybe.  

I'm Killing Us (with soft mallets)

80s style rock song. Vocals by Roger, former singer of the band Zardiz (Bruchsal, Germany). Tried to create a dark, scary feeling (think Dio). This track also features my wife whispering in the intro and outro.

Cordial welcome to the Catchysweet & Funkymoody world of Spinman Finn & Death2theLoop, where uniquely cool & quirky sonic sensations become common place.

This is the one that set it all off, in terms of recording for Toronto's Feloniou$ Munks but ended up being the tip of a substantial iceberg that followed.   Krainmaker got it started with that raunchy guitar riff you hear solo'd at the end of the intro and during the chorus, originally intended for another song i'd written but had no place for it there.  Still, i was enamoured with the hook enough that i suggested building another number around it.  All in, we worked up the crunchy/thumpin' drumbeats, synth & electric basslines and all important, two note organ pad.  Last and possibly least is the patented 3-5 note piano tinkle I almost always nail on second take if not first and rhythmic scratches here & there.  Most of the lyrics rolled out while walking home from the Velvet Underground around 3 am, with my tongue firmly in cheek all the way.  Wrote 'em down on my Mac upon arrival and the rest was mainly arrangements and gettin' my pawdnah in rhyme, Sweed Knox, in for the dynamic outro.

We had the pleasure of sharing the bill with DJ's Pareja (of Comeme Records fame) while they were in Melbourne recently and it was an absolute thrill to warm-up for these guys who we have both a lot of respect and admiration for. Owner and manager of Play Pal Music, Teniente Castillo has been djing for over 20 years, involved in all kinds ofmusical projects, residencies and venues, both in Madrid and away from Spain's capital, like recently tours in Chile, Mexico or visits to La Dame Noir's Club in Marseille and a Play Pal Night at Berlin's finest 'Kater Blau'.
For his label he's counted with great artists such as Vox Low, Tronik Youth, Damon Jee, Pete Herbert, Duncan Gray, Thomass Jackson, Fkclub, Future Bones, Club Bizarre, Squarewave or Mushrooms Project among many others.
Focused now also on his own music production, he's released several remixes for great labels such as Nein Rec, Tici Taci and his own imprint, Play Pal Music, receiving great feedbacks on all of them and nowadays working on his first solo ep's. First one to come in October on his own imprint and a second one on Nein Rec in november. A lot more to follow in 2017.
As Promoter and Resident Dj, he's been consistenly behind great venues. Highlights from all of them, Wonky and Wicked (2009 - 2012) with guests like Ashley Beedle, Beppe Loda, Bonar Bradberry, Bottin, Chicken Lips, Crazy
P, Dicky Trisco, Faze Action, Marcello Giordani, Pete Herbert, Ray Mang, Rodion, Stevie Kotey, Tim Sweeney and Psychemagik among others and his Play Pal Nights at the club Evaristo, where he's shared the decks with
good friends and great artists such as La Royale, Gemini Brothers, Duncan Gray, Club Bizarre, Tronik Youth, Gameboyz, Thomass Jackson, Amevicious or Damon Jee to name a few.
