I would like to wish everyone, including myself, more light, joy and magic with this vocal sound journey! This piece is inspired by the winter solstice. The 21st of December, the day with the longest night and the biggest darkness. Still, in the middle of this darkness the light is born, and everything turns around. The light will increase from now on, and I would like to contribute to nourishing this newborn light within you, me and us all. Being grateful for the darkness that gives birth to the light. 

This is my first project in Ableton Live 11, and I recorded everything in the bathroom, using only my own vocals. I recorded the tracks with loops, and then recorded this version in a live session. Listen with headphones if you can!

Avitaatio on meditatiivinen ääniteos itsestä luopumisesta ja uudesta elämästä. 

Teos perustuu Youtuben meditaatiovideoihin, joiden teksti on käännetty Google Translatella, rikottu ja sommiteltu uudelleen tuottamaan samaan aikaan tuttu ja vieras olo. Teoksen äänimaisema perustuu netistä löytyviin lintuäänitiedostoihin, joiden käsitellyistä katkelmista ja bassoklarinetisti Maija Anttilan tulkinnoista muodostuu äänellinen matka sisäisiin avaruuksiin.

Teos johdattaa kuulijansa omiin ajatuksiin, tunnustelemaan omaa kehoaan ja seuraamaan tietä ulos työnteon ja maailmantuskan samsarasta, ei kohti pohjimmaista harmoniaa, vaan uudenlaista, kompleksista elämänkokemusta tunnetun maailman tuolla puolen.
