Maryam Shakaa is a Palestinian oud player, singer and composer, whose music bridges heritage and innovation. A winner of the International Oud Competition in Lebanon and first-place recipient of the Palestine’s Voice Competition, Shakaa has established herself as one of the most promising young voices in contemporary Arabic music. Beginning her journey with the Edward Said National Arabic Orchestra in Palestine, after relocating to Toronto, Shakaa collaborated with the Canadian Arabic Orchestra, making her debut in a full Umm Kulthum tribute concert, and recently joined the Firdaus Orchestra, an all-women ensemble under Expo City Dubai, performing in four concerts during the Promise of Music Festival in Toronto.

Through her soulful oud performances and vocals, Maryam preserves the spirit of Arabic music while reimagining it for global audiences, connecting emotion, identity, and cultural storytelling. Maryam is also a member of Trio Jarzeem, a pioneering ensemble of three oudists who tour internationally to perform original compositions that fuse tradition with innovation. 
 
Performing across France, the UK, the United States, and the Middle East, Shakaa continues to share her music internationally — bridging cultures through the expressive power of the oud and the timeless language of emotion.

Johnny Schaefer is an eclectic Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter. He has a BA in Music (Composition and Voice) from California State University, Fullerton. He has sung backup for Josh Groban, Melissa Manchester, Sarah Vaughan, Pete Townsend, Billy Idol, Diahann Carroll, and others. He has collaborated with Producer Stephan Oberhoff (Heartbeat Brazil), Geoff Levin, Bolton Hill, Jill Knight, Susan Holder, Gerald Albright,  Wenndy MacKenzie, Gary Sockdale, Samuel Madoo of the LGBTA Archive, Bram Stoker Award-winning author and lyricist Elizabeth Massie, best-selling author Marianne Williamson, Carol Robbins-jazz harpist, Christoph Bull, Paul the Trombonist, Chad Ellis, and composer Lynn Kowal. He was Associate Producer on "Whenever I Call You Firend" by Melissa Manchester featuring Kenny Loggins and Dave Koz as well as "Just Too Many People" on Manchester's "Re:View" album. He wrote the Theme song for the Audiobook of Gayla Turner's "Don't You Dare," recorded by Jill Knight. He was a cantor at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hollywood, CA for four decades. He is married to his videographer, Paco Silva. Johnny’s release of his song, You Can’t Hide the Light features GRAMMY® Award-winner Melissa Manchester and won the special Music Aid International category for Best Original Song in the UK SOngwriting Contest out of 6,500 entries from 82 countries. His latest release, "Find a Place" features a solo by 9-Time Grammy® Nominated saxophonist Gerald Albright and is supported by the great folks at smoothjazz.com.
