Recuerdos de la Alhambra, one of the most famous pieces ever written for the Spanish guitar. Popularly performed around the world, it is a technically demanding exercise for the right hand, asking of the performer to deliver an even tremolo sound to give the illusion of the sustain typically achievable on other string instruments, such as the violin or cello. 

As far as music as mimesis goes, 'Memories of the Alhambra' is certainly evocative of one of the most revered, beautiful treasures in all of Spain.
