To continue my Life in Color Series for 2021, I am using black in solidarity with those that have lost loved ones due to hate crimes and racial injustices. 

It is so heartbreaking and sickening to see all the hate crimes against Asian Americans in the most recent weeks. As a minority who has only Asian friends, I want to be able to bring light to the issue on this platform.

I always wonder if things will ever go back to normal. Though I've grown so much in the past year, I have also been observant in what's been happening and I think I left a small part of me in the past. The title “Homesick,’ is used to represent the families of the individuals who were not able to defend themselves due to a language barrier, and/or other factors.

I would assume that attacks like these, would never happen in their home country, so Homesick was the right title, and “Home” is the English translation of the Chinese Character used for the cover art.

It seems that a virus that we can't defeat is hate, and i just hope I can motivate my peers to become a person that brings out the best in others.

So I really love the original, but something in my brain makes me imagine robot noises over everything I listen to. The vocal on this is so beautiful, so ethereal, and all I can think is GLITCH IT UP. Really happy with how this one came out though, it makes me feel like I'm cliff diving off into the glassy Mediterranean waters, and then like partying with robot dolphins and sea horses and shit. Yeah I don't know either
