Alluded to in its title, @emmanuel ‘Force Of Nature’ LP draws inspiration from the natural world, influences incorporated within the producer’s regular rave palette. Our pick ‘Culture’ is a great example of the producer’s ability to straddle the divide, blending emotive tones with a weighty percussive structure.

'Outside the Ride' builds on @okzharp's last EP for @hyperdub - a new 7-track record landing back on the label this August. Born out of a 127 bpm Gqom-influenced soundtrack created for a short film, 'Outside the Ride' sees Okzharp moving forward with a new amalgam of speedy music that explores a chimera of South African Gqom, turn-of-the-century techstep and footwork.

On 'Incline Disconnect', acidic leads slither against tense, trance-inducing synth swirls. Frayed, off-kilter drums and fierce 808 accents interlock in an unlikely, seductive soundsystem killer.

"The sounds gathered on this cassette are excercises in live polyrhytmic structures and minimal melodic music. They are in no way trying to represent or to imitate traditional gamelan music from Java or Bali. You could look at it as a mere impressionistic view through obvious inspiration. 
No special (micro)tunings were used on these pieces (except on the track 'Gamla Krobo'). All parts were preprogrammed on a number of polyphonic sequencer tracks and afterwards played and modulated in a live manner during the recording process. By seperately modulating each tracks' timing and thus manipulating the overall rhythmic structure of the piece, an effect, closely resembling an ensemble of live performers was archieved. Dropping more than 2 years after his debut on the imprint, Tom VR’s latest & third record on ‘all my thoughts’ is a 3 track showcase of his evolving style of thoughtful club music. The Manchester-based producer, DJ & label-head introduces the EP with title-track ‘Acheless’ - which fuses arpeggios, visceral pads & glitched-out garage percussion into a euphoric club cut.

‘It Swims Here’, begins with twinkling synth lines before emerging as a hypnotic house track crafted for the final half-hour on the dance-floor with dreamy vocals and whispers weaved throughout. The fast-paced ‘Couldn’t Find The Words’ sets the mood for post-rave reminiscing, blending analog synth bleeps, dubby chords & breathy gasps into a tightly-wound introspective minimal track.
