The forthcoming release on respected NUFF MUSIC brings some of the finest Latino talents of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene. The rising Argentinian duo Renuna (FREEDL028), formed by Cali Burton & Santiago Sosa aka TOTS, invited a couple of friends to contribute with cool remixes for their debut on the Mexican label: None other than Fausto (SXDNS064) and Alex Aguayo (FREEDL038 as Mahkina).

The EP, "Nos Tienen Encerrados", brings two well-crafted original pieces that immerse us in the universe of influences both Cali and Santiago have individually amassed over the years but decided to explore collectively.

Arpeggiating the hell out of the original, Fausto provided a playful and insightful interpretation of "Me Encanta Estar Cruzado". The Sinaloa-based producer, who also debuts on NUFF, is considered one of the most talented artists of the Mexican scene, especially because he managed, at such a young age, to achieve something that normally takes many, many years of pursuit: A trademark sonority. Whenever you bump into one of his works, expect spicy percussive elements combined with retro-futuristic synth layers. The result: Extreme darkness with utmost groove. 

And before you ask: Yes, his take of Renuna’s theme follows the infallible formula.

The Leipzig based Label Ascending Branch is back and it's JiMMi Hendrik who gives us the rush on the floor this time. The EP title Tausendsassa makes it clear and so his new EP comes with 3 strong original tracks from acid to some disco flavoured house music right up to a hot dirty bombshell straight for the club! The main track acerbic sweetness was released on Freude am Tanzen's digital imprint FAT-zig and already gained support from artists like Kerry Chandler, Karotte, Mathias Kaden or Marc Romboy! To round things off, Kleinschmager Audio from Mo's Ferry delivers a deep version of this classic track, which directly get's under your skin! Highly recommended!

Nine months after releasing Acuds Verbrennungsmotor Ep, we are not done with it yet. We found five wonderful artists to get everything out of the engine, which resulted in this new Remix EP. The title track, produced by ACUD and BEATMÖRTELZ, is here new interpreted in an impressive way by the downtempo specialists ARUTANI and O/Y, by RODION (ALIEN ALIEN), which is known for his massive Nu-Disco Skills, and finally, in a faster version, by AIO. Further LUKAS ENDHARDT gives the poetic track FLIEGEPETER a new look. The original version by ACUD will be published also in a radio version.

Blindetonation serve up another summer sizzler from French artist Sebastien Tex with big remixes by FKClub and Javi Redondo.
DJ and producer Tex brings all the rugged attitude you would expect of an artist on this DIY minded label. His punky disco is visceral and vital and comes on esteemed labels like Correspondant and La Belle Records as well as this one.
First up here is the super title track, a snaking bit of spooky dark disco with a hypnotic lead line. Tension builds around the slap-funk drums and moody bass and the whole thing is sure to get the floor to erupt. Remixing is FKClub, a skilled drummer, DJ and producer who makes mental yet visceral music that draws on anything from rock to acid. His take on ‘Mouniche’ has stiff bass stabs and sic- fi effects making it a turbulent cosmic groover.
Next is ‘The Struggles of Life’, a terrific track wired up with sinewy electronics and percolating bass. Big guitar riffs bring the menace and once the drums drop again this is a rock-tinged disco gem. Madrid’s Javi Redondo is a key player in the Spanish scene who now tours all over Europe with his genre defying sounds. He reworks it into something more urgent, with pumping drums and drunken synths tumbling down the scales to bring a brilliantly off balance feel.
Once more this is a superb package of forward looking club chuggers from Blindetonation.
