in art you bet your soul you give everything you have 
just to be torn apart from the inside out 
and you try and try and refine till someone lays an eye
on your work on the art that you designe 

you feel thrilled by that so you seek more and more 
and all of a sudden you sold your sole 
so you go back in your tracks and look for the spark 
that ignited the love and the passion you had 

just to realise now you hate what you craft
 and you hate what you love and you can't find the sound 
so you ask yourself this: what was the point ? 
was it money and fame ? or satisfaction? or joy ? 
or maybe some other reason you forgot to employ 

there was a time where I dreamt of this 
but now I don't want it 
I'd rather do what I love 
and maybe someone will love it 

maybe I won't be herd 
or maybe Ill make it work
either way I will  be doing what I always loved 

so my message today for all the artist out there 
when your laying in your death bed old as hell 
when you look back on your life and realise your regrets 
only thing you'll remember is the emotions you've held

and I hope that's the case for both our sakes 
yeah I hope that's the case for both our selves
