Dixie Fried is a sort of audio version of "Where's Wally?" The track has tons of references to the hippie/rock counterculture of the 1970s -- from the slang that gives the song its title, to the cover art reminiscent of Easy Rider; to the very structure of the song.

(1) "Dixie Fried" is a hippie slang used to describe someone who is eccentric, crazy, heavily intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

(2) The yellow brick road from The Wizard of Oz is replaced by golden brick, a common word in hippie slang (golden vibes, golden glow etc.).

(3) Poem "The Hitchhiker" by Jim Morrison. Blue bus is a symbol of countercultural ideals and the desire to break free from societal norms.

(4) “Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds” by The Beatles

(5) Slang. To proudly display your true self.

(6) Slang. State of being mentally/emotionally disconnected from one's surroundings or reality.

(7) Slang. Experiences that transcend ordinary reality and expand consciousness.

Another fun collab with @enigmacurry !
Ryan sent me this awesome beat that included a lot of the cool sound design elements and really interesting sound effects already in there. Apparently our mutual friend @scilentsymphony gave the original piece a listen and convinced him that he needed it to send it my way, because sounds like my style haha.

I'm glad he did, because this clicked right away with me. I overlaid a couple melodic patterns that mostly repeat in a kind of cyclical way, was quite happy with the final result here! Credit for the cover art goes to Ryan.
