We're Back! Our first release of the new year is of our good friends Louis The Child's hit. We wanted to spice it up and show how the diversity of K.Flay's ridiculously good vocals could be used, so we added that Win & Woo house infused spice to it. It's like that movie when you walk into a room michael jackson slow mo style and just shuffle your way through the party and then start dancing on the pool table while never breaking eye contact with the 10 at the bar.

Eight years ago I was in my mom’s basement with my guitar and the most basic recording setup you can imagine.  I didn’t know anything about music production or anything at all really.  Somehow I came up with this melody that just couldn’t get out of my head.  It was probably the first moment I realized I might have written something good, so I wanted to sing it “one more time for those who are doubtful”.  While writing the lyrics (and feeling delightful), I looked at the clock, and it was 10:05 PM.  Since then I have written hundreds, probably thousands, of songs but this one stood the test of time.  Five Past Ten.

“When I was writing these songs, I pictured myself playing a house party in a dingy little beach town. Like, all these super-sweaty college kids dancing so hard. That’s the atmosphere of my music: a little town that makes a lot of noise.” DENM makes good on that promise with his debut EP, Dreamhouse, and single “Under Pressure,” which are awash with natural uppers. Hailing from Santa Barbara and having been in a handful of bands, he has spent every spare moment writing for this project.
 
Investing arduous hours into studio time, mingling pop and garage rock with BPMs and R&B, the musician admits his craft takes a ton of discipline. “I don’t smoke weed and… wait for inspiration. I’ll get in the studio and hustle—like, write 10 songs on the guitar just to get one good one,” then adding texture using synths and more guitars, producing the tracks himself into a hybrid between deep house, R&B, and pop.

I couldn't be more excited to finally share the beginning of something so special with you all. After 'Get It On' - I was overwhelmed with so many positive responses, I took such a risk, and for you guys to respond so passionately and kindly was incredible for me to see. 

With the release going over successfully, I signed to one of the coolest labels in the world, Ministry of Sound! And they're championing my new, funk sound. It's truly a blessing to have someone of that magnitude see eye-to-eye with you on something so different.

This is the beginning of a string of releases. The next ones ready, the one after that is ready, and the one after that is done too. I was lucky enough to be able to work with Bryn Christopher on this record. He had recorded actually a completely different topline for a different track of mine, but I just went and chopped/pitched these few lines to create a more sampled feel.
