The Earth we live on seems like a calm environment, with sunlight shining in, blue skies, white clouds, and a pleasant breeze, but in fact the Earth revolves around the Sun at an astonishing speed. Strictly speaking, it is an elliptical orbit, so the speed changes with the seasons. The average speed is about 30 km per second. This translates to 107,226 km per hour (about 66,652 miles per hour). It takes just 23 minutes to go around the Earth.
It feels like we are riding on a vehicle called the Earth that moves at an incredible speed.
The Earth's rotation speed is also incredible, and people near the equator live their daily lives exceeding the speed of sound.
Our solar system is not at the center of the galaxy in the image, but on the edge, and moves through the galaxy with the Sun at an average speed of 79,200 km per hour (about 49,213 miles per hour).
The distance to the closest neighboring sun to our Sun (Alpha Centauri) is also far away.
For example, if the size of our solar system were a schoolyard on the west coast of the United States, Alpha Centauri would be comparable in distance to a schoolyard in New York on the east coast. It would take the Voyager probe about 700,000 years to get there.

If there are this many solar systems, there must be planets with environments similar to Earth. But those are infinitely far away...

Climate change has indeed altered weather patterns worldwide. This year, Japan skipped autumn and abruptly transitioned from summer to winter. Agriculture and fisheries, in particular, are feeling the impact. Whether the cause lies with humanity or is part of a rhythm in the solar system remains uncertain, but we are facing challenging times.

In the latter part of the song, children's voices are incorporated, with the final voices being those of the same children when they have grown. It symbolizes a shift from a peaceful childhood to voices of conflict.

Onmyoji were real Japanese shamans in the Heian period. In modern terms, they had the social status of national civil servants, were made up of about 70 people, and played an important role in running the country. Their office was located closest to the Emperor's residence.

The main job of the Onmyoji was astronomical observation and creating calendars. These calendars contained recommendations and precautions for daily actions based on astronomical observation and divination techniques handed down from ancient China.
For example, the best day to cut your fingernails is the Day of the Ox, and for toenails, the Day of the Tiger.
Good times and directions to go out. Conversely, times and directions to avoid.
Days when you should avoid going out at all.
Days when digging or moving soil will bring misfortune.
The worst direction for getting a pet that year, and more were detailed.
When the aristocrats of the Heian period woke up, they would first look at the calendar for the day and take action based on these guidelines.

Interestingly, some of this information created by the onmyoji continues to be published in modern special calendars (Koyomi) that are updated every year and are available for anyone to purchase at bookstores.

While many Japanese people are no longer interested in these special calendars, I use parts of them as a reference for my daily activities.

The most famous onmyoji is Abe no Seimei, a real historical figure who appears in Japanese movies and dramas. In modern terms, he seems to have had supernatural abilities such as psychic powers and magic. In particular, he had seven gods (Shichigami) help him with his work. These gods were so creepy that Seimei's wife banned them from entering his mansion, and the seven gods waited under Ichijo Modoribashi Bridge. This bridge still exists in Kyoto, and commemorative portraits of the seven gods are placed there.

There is also an anecdote that Abe no Seimei sometimes had the seven gods help him with cleaning.

I've been playing guitar for many years, even though I'm not very good at it, with the support of my wonderful band members.

When I first heard the sound of a Hammond B3 when I was young, I felt something modern in the linear, expressionless sound emitted by the electronics, and then with the advent of the synthesizer, I felt infinite possibilities that could not be expressed with existing instruments.

In 1988, I discovered the joy of using MIDI files as a way to express my music on my ATARI 1040ST computer, and I became obsessed with it. Fortunately or unfortunately, that obsession continues to this day.

All music posted on this Soundcloud is created using only a mouse on a computer's piano roll screen.

The only exception is that I actually play the guitar part on No. 16 (OnMyouJi).

Assembling music on a computer allows you to listen to the melody objectively, so there is the joy of unexpected discoveries.

That's the most interesting thing, and I learn a lot. It can be tiring sometimes, but...

Music has a mysterious power that reminds you of your past self when you listen to music you listened to repeatedly in the past for the first time in a long time.

I think everyone has experienced that.

I hope that the music I post here will help you remember who you are in the future.
