We had the song title in our hook book and our co-writer, Jimmy Nash,  thought the idea was cool and we went back and forth with it and made it the title. The phrase is usually “Slip Out The Back Door” so we put a little twist and made it our own by using the “Side Door” instead.  I think it is relatable because in a small town you can run into your ex or your boss at the most inopportune times and although Joey and I have not experienced many things we write about–we are songwriters and writers interpret life. This new EP shows our evolution our transition into college life now that we are both Berklee students it will be interesting what our college years bring from an experiential point of view
