JFB is Jean Marc Preisler, born in the UK to a Hungarian father and French mother, he attended his first rave in '96 and became obsessed with the discipline of turntables. He was quickly DJ'ing in Brighton; first on pirate radio Easy FM in and by '98 was playing at the legendary Meltdown club night. And let's not forget being asked to play regularly at Movement in London, the seminal DnB night that broke the likes of DJ Marky.
 
The pedigree doesn't stop there; our very own Ed Solo taught JFB to produce, he's remixed for Fat Boy Slim and that's before we get to the three, yes THREE, DMC World Mixing titles. But don't worry, JFB has somehow found the time to make an absolutely banging EP.

Track 1 - JFB & Slingshot ft. Zen Lewis - The Only Good System 
Partnering JFB on this one is old school DnB head Slingshot; friends and producers, with the incredibly soulful Zen Lewis delivering the vocals to his own lyrics. Infused with the original think break vocals ('woo, yeah' anyone? IYKYN) they give the track a timeless quality that hark back to the heady days of 90s raving. With upfront & clean Jungle production, The Only Good System is a banging system; listen to this one on your very best system.

Track 2 - JFB - Lost Jungle 
Lost Jungle is a light but deadly roller, stacked with summer vibes. Blissed out production and a buzzing deep bassline, this is one for the BBQs and daytime smoking sessions in the park. Lost jungle? You just found Jungle.

Track 3 - JFB & Lickweed - Uppercut  
It's 0230 in the club. You wanna get your head down and have it large. Uppercut comes on -  a dark & dirty slab of Jungle that slaps rather than tickles. Mission accomplished. Lickweed is one of the best multi genre turntablists in Australia. It's a deadly duo that packs a serious punch.

Track 4 - JFB ft. Multiplex - Dappa Dan
Dappa Dan - proper Jungle vibes for the real ravers. Twisted Jungle sounds with insistent vocals from Mutiplex; the energetic DJ/MC from the Netherlands who has dropped science at the Jungle institution Cheeky Mondays out of Amsterdam for well over a decade.

Step out to this! You won't be sitting down any time soon.

From the depths of music’s murkiest waters, AUDIO is back and bigger than ever. Pumping those bass heavy dumbbells and effortlessly reigning over the realm he helped to shape, prepare yourself for a musical excursion like no other.
The union between RAM and AUDIO sent reverberations throughout the community. Having already thrown hard-hitting punches with his first release on the imprint, it’s now time for another full-frontal assault. 
The opening credits roll out like a musical blockbuster, with those first few jabs sending you reeling in suspense. ‘Nil By Mouth’ is snappy, aggressive and builds tentatively, with an imposing drop which leaves a lasting impact. There’s an endless stream of hard-hitting bass notes, cutting deeper and deeper into the mix until its intimidating composition is exposed. The structure is then diced up by an elevating drum pattern, leading you into meticulously crafted anarchy. AUDIO smashes you head first through a glass prototype, leaving you to bear the brunt of his production. 
Next up, we’re introduced to the mechanical drill of ‘Ultron’. The first few booms pushes the intro forward at an alarming pace, accelerating as the gears are audibly shifted. Measured, yet proving to be unstoppable and flying forward aboard one pounding rhythm, expect no less from the guy who brought you ‘Heads Up’ and ‘Stampede’. Ending with a final snap of breakbeat, you’re left to bask in a record that detonates with outstanding power. 
Following on from these dance floor destroyers, is aptly named ‘Break It’.  On first listen, stay away from anything fragile. Winding up with the same tell-tale aggressiveness which his production style is renowned for, he manoeuvres last minute into unfamiliar territories.  Bouncing between bars with a war-cry like vocal sample, AUDIO pulls you in and keeps you there… another shining example of AUDIO’s ability to produce game changing, contemporary drum and bass. 
Wrapping up this sonic assault is ‘Gotham’. As dark and brooding as the famed city itself, find yourself lead through a stepping, precise construction of beats. Unforgiving, weighty pads guide a steppy riddim into undiluted madness. This completely envelops the musical environment and it’s difficult not to blown away by the conundrum of quick witted instrumentation that snap, crack and smack with every break. 
Featuring next level cuts from a man who stands at the genre’s forefront, it’s time to let the music talk. And it’ll stand as one of the dnb population’s most lasting conversation for a while.

Each track from us will be very different as I invite guest musicians and producers to join us exploring new fusions of world music with Jungle, D&B and Global Bass. But this time with deeper, often more psychedelic and atmospheric qualities, inspired by the likes of Clap Clap! Bow De Bhajaan and Calibre.

This free download takes a sample of the beautiful cover of Jorge Ben's "Oba La Vem Ela" by Junip and features an original recording of the incredibly talented Stormae on violin.   The result is a Brazilian Folk-Rock infused Liquid D&B roller!
