The softer melodic intro and the halfstep structure gives you some time to breathe before the last raging and frenetic dance. Plenty of edits and ominous bass lines are filling up the drops as usual. The breakdown features a little synth “plot twist” which walks hand-in-hand with the drum work chaos until the epilogue.

This track starts with a much frightening vibe, slowly descending into a plethora of heavy breakbeat madness. The beat manipulation vaguely recalls a mid/end 2000s skullstep structure translated into a Jungle'ish' environment. It’s gloomy, dark and violent for almost 7 minutes, no compromises here.

Kicking off with a trance-oriented melody. Huge distorted basslines, epic choir and filtered breaks are subsequently added before an explosion of breaks hits your face. Pads are keeping the narrative kind of euphoric, which perfectly work in contrast to the other eerier elements of the track.

A sinister atmosphere introduces the scenery of the whole EP before suddenly breaking down into a straight 4/4 beat. The drop consist in a heavy-hitting Amen backbone with a particular focus on the snare. Sub and reese are surrounded by numerous synth and bass shots and random noises. During the breakdown a typical oldschool synth leads to a furious second drop.
All vocals, hits and noises are sampled from the “Tom Clancy’s The Division” game which actually features the so-called Dark Zone.

Came up with the name back in 2011 as part of my final year uni design project but I wasn’t a producer back then, so never realised it. The name ties in with my gas mask, duburban poison logo theme.
