This week, I delved into Ableton’s Live 12 Delay Audio Effect. It's quite remarkable how this seemingly small effect can significantly impact sound. In fact, I built upon the file I created last week. By incorporating delay, I discovered a completely different interpretation of the sound. This week’s scale is C Phrygian Dominant.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal
I've started on this sample in Febuary 2024 and had some stuff but I had to reset. This project started to began in January of this year and I kept forgetting about it because I didn't know how to continue the process. And then here I am, decided to finish this. It could be a little better in my opinion but for now I'm satisfied. Man, this was kinda a pain to work with. Now then, I have the other project that I've been holding back. I will try to get it done this week.

Jungletrain crew member and long time resident Darkstar brings his second promomix to the table with a rough-and-smooth take on choppy drums with extreme chill vibes. Alongside Denver, Colorado's Goreteks, Darkstar presents Rinse'n'Repeat radio every Tuesday night. Typically, their show revolves around frenetic signature choppage of labels like RuptureLDN and Scientific Wax, with a sprinkle of the deep halftime vibes a la Samurai and Cosmic Bridge.

For this month's promomix, Darkstar draws upon a selection not always heard on the show. Huge lush pads and intricate yet esoteric drum programming paves the way for an atmospheric experience heavily inspired by Jungletrain's Arnicvs and his aural experiments from deep space.
