During his 25 years in Drum and Bass and Jungle, Alex always stuck to the more traditional styles of the genre, like drumfunk, breakbeats and deep atmospherics, only looking at tribalism and the minimal movement from afar. After years of not really feeling it, something clicked and, whether he wanted to or not, Al turned to the dark side and was hooked.

Finding himself in this other corner of the drum and bass spectrum, Al figured it was time to step into the spotlight and show you what this means to him. For JT's first promomix installment of 2020, Al-Wah delivers a minimalistic militant mix, featuring bongo driven tribalism interspersed with rolling snares and a background ambience giving you that feeling of impending doom, always near but not quite real.

Selector X joined jungletrain.net in may 2018, but has been on hiatus while he's getting his studio back in order. To this end, he would like to share the following:

"Special greets to all Jungletrain headz and jungle music lovers. After 6 of the longest months ever, RedRockers Studio v2.0 is finally being reassembled. It's all been in storage; haven't even had my decks set up... so this mix is the product of the FIRST creative sesh I've had since December 2019. Feels good man.

"Happy to say that I can now resume my biweekly jungletrain.net show, RED ROCKERS SESH by the end of June. I've sorely missed that time to brockout and skankout my pent up energy and soundbwoy compulsions... 3-6 hour solo DJ sets are my best meditation. Looking forward to a better 2nd half of 2020! Jungle Raiders is an international artist and producer collective that was formed in Lucerne in the central part of Switzerland in 2001. It was created as a platform to unite artists and play at venues to spread the jungle vibez! Their main Swiss representatives Luc4Pancho & TactiQal, always hot on the Junglist Vocal Dubplate Pressure, host their own weekly radioshow „JunglisArea“ on swiss-based jam-on.ch and their own selfnamed record label. They have featured and collaborated on a broad range of releases as well as countless mix sets from Jungle Drum&Bass- and Reggae artists such as LionDub International, Bongo Chilli or Shocking Murray to name but a few. Passionate, vinyl & dubplate fronting DJs with deep roots in the 90s heyday of Drum&Bass, the JungleRaiders collective have been blessed to have shared stages alongside many artists during their musical journey such as: Remarc, Nicky Blackmarket, Paradox, Navigator, and Dr. Meaker to name but a few and to be continued!
