Ha ha, yet another one of these.. but not Sonic 4 this time. No, this time it's something.. completely different. The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina, the fake anime intro episode to The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (it was the first episode aired), and this was the "battle" music. The original sounds like it was done on the Microsoft Softsynth, and when I recreated it years ago in MIDI format playing it on said Microsoft Softsynth made it sound exactly the same. 

The reason for making this? Well, there's an SMPS competition (basically, Mega Drive music competition) that runs on the SSRG Message Board and I won the last round, meaning I could choose the next round's music. I chose this. :> This is my entry for this round.

Now, again, it's using VOPM and stuff right now, but eventually it'll be using the SMPS engine properly, so I made sure it'd work all fully using it with correct voices, etc. etc.

So turns out this snare from the "Power" drumkit in the GenesiSF soundfont is actually from Sonic 3, unused.

Competition Menu (Prototype) (Reinstrumented)

For my first upload here, I guess I'll start with something similar to what I left off with on my last account. And by similar I mean it's Ice Cap related. (and I suppose Hard Times related too)

So anyway, part of the reason I made this a medley was to try and make this one stand out amongst the (likely) tens of thousands of other remixes that populate the internet. I tried to feature all the "Ice Cap Zone"s of Sonic's history, so I hope I'm not missing any...
