If you caught Sean Johnston’s recent ALFOS compilation, you’ll already know the name Bal5000, whose stunning track ‘Bleu Infini’ left a lasting impression. Bal5000 has also released on esteemed labels such as Dirt Crew Recordings and Emotional Especial.

We’re now thrilled to announce his latest release, The Lake — a shimmering new cut that dives even deeper into his genre hopping sound. Alongside the title track are ‘Untitled Acid’ and ‘Untitled Electro’. As their names suggest, they explore acid and electro-infused vibes, all within the ever-evolving Citizens Of Vice sonic ethos.

On remix duties, our long-term collaborator — and one of our absolute favourites — Pete Herbert (Music For Swimming Pools) delivers not one but two stellar reworks, each infused with his unmistakable style.

In 2015, Sprechen was born in Chris Massey's spare room in Bolton. The decade since has proved that Sprechen has never been tied to one genre. Instead, it has a simple aim to serve up good music that is free of boundaries. Ein Null celebrates this journey with a collection of originals from friends, collaborators and cosmic creatives who've helped shape the label. The sounds are wonky, weird, banging and beautiful, with expansive, consciousness-shifting grooves from the likes of A Certain Ratio, PBR Streetgang, who offer a wobbly acid workout on ‘Chasin Perry’ and Massey And Supernature's slow, spangled disco dubber, 'Walk Now Walk'. Splitting her time between Rio de Janeiro and Berlin, she’s the founder of Assembleia, a laid-back Rio party that’s become a Carnival sensation, and co-founder of Croma, a music-meets-fashion project that shaped Rio’s alt-scene. Featured on the cover of GQ Brazil, she was named one of “13 artists changing the world.”
Her non-linear DJ sets fuse Afro-Brazilian rhythms, Middle Eastern grooves, Italo, disco, house, and Balearic sounds - always bold, emotional, and unpredictable. She’s played Boiler Room, Paris Fashion Week, KALA Festival, DGTL, and more, alongside names like Hunee, Antal, and Prins Thomas.

Theoric Proximity, the debut album from Jus Jam, explores themes of connection, distance, and the subtle spaces in between. Each track contributes to a cohesive, dreamlike journey that reflects his personal and emotional approach to house and electronic music.

Placed early in the tracklist, Midnight Marauder stands out as a key moment in the album. Balancing early house and deep house, the track is carried by a warm, rounded bass line that drives the groove, while a brass sample adds a boom bap flavor rooted in Jus Jam’s hip-hop influences.

The atmosphere is airy and nostalgic, evoking the feeling of drifting through a summer city at night—heat lingering in the air, softened by a light breeze. DC Promo Tracks: Pleasure Voyage "Natural Unity" (Oceanic Version)

Following on from excellent remix efforts from Newworldaquarium and Just For One Day, the next single to be plucked from Morphosis' most excellent long player is 'Too Far'. The artist doing the re-working this time is Ostgut Ton and Berghain frontman Marcel Dettmann who here delivers his 'Dettmann Definitions' which will sit on the release alongside the dark-wave original cut from Morphosis himself.

'Definition 1' is a slowed and stripped back bit of deep dark house, whilst 'Definition 2' lets some light in and bounces along a more buoyant groove, with both tracks keeping the spirit of the original alive within thanks to the sparring use of its vocal. Essential stuff...
