Vytautė Pupšytė musical path started quite traditionally (art gymnasium in Klaipėda, Music and Theatre Academy in Vilnius), but now runs through exploration and self-discovery paths.

In a year 2009 she created nu jazz, alternative rock band named Jing'a'ling and participated in a contest "Garage" where won 1st place. With this band Vytautė played in most popular Lithuanian Jazz Festivals - Vilnius Mama Jazz and Kaunas Jazz. Concert tours in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, France.

She was a member of the vocal jazz band named Singaz, which participated in a Vilnius Jazz Young Power contest and won Grand Prix, also, Vytautė by herself, won special price for original composition "Human language" for five singers.

In 2012 Lithuanian Jazz Federation released CD of lithuanian jazz artist, which included Vytaute's interpretation of Duke Ellingtons “In a sentimental mood”.

At the time Vytautė sings and creates in a synth pop, nu creative band called Soul Moustache with pianist and composer Vytis Smolskas, also in improvisational music project called Leobard Grey leaded by saxophone player Leonardas Pilkauskas.

Singer fulfills her creative imagination by composing, writing lyrics and poetry, playing instruments and game of life :)

At the time she works in the Music School "Lyra" with children, as a singing teacher and in Vilnius College, Rhythmic music department as a singing and improvisation lecturer

Soul Moustache - for those who already grows moustache.

These are two professional musicians. Started really young and in a completely artistcal enviroment these two birds've met in Academy of Music and Theater. Two birds?

Bird 1 - Vytis Smolskas (https://soundcloud.com/vytis-smolskas) piano player started at desirable M. K. Čiurlionis gymnasium of arts, later on started studies of classical piano. At that time Vytis started to creat his own music and perform with various alternative music artist, such as Milky Lazers (Pieno Lazeriai), Jazzu... At that time Vytis fell in love with jazz, so finished jazz studies in the same Academy. So the masters left... and he decided to get his masters degree in Royal Concervatory of  Hague (Netherlands) and was very lucky. And still is.

Bird 2 - Vytautė Pupšytė (https://soundcloud.com/vytaute) - was more like a real bird. Always in a mood for flying. So the story goes like this...born in Kaunas, grew up in Klaipėda, city by the sea. Vytautė spend most of her childhood time in the theater, where her dad is an actor. So till the teenage years she was sure to become an opera singer, since she was studying in E. Balsys gymnasium of arts. But later Vytautė heard wonderful Ella's Fitzgerald scat which she thought was just too perfect to hear on this earth and started to learn and sing this olden golden music. Studies in Academy of Music and Theater was wonderful experience, since she met most wonderful musicians with whom Vytautė grew up not only as a singer, but as a musician as well.

So... Soul moustache. Our body - is only an accesory. If you're old enaugh to feel it, tune your ear to our music.
