For Record Store Day 2018 Brooklyn based RNT ushers in the springtime sunshine with Férias ’77 Reworks, a collection of Brazilian revisions from label co-head JKriv. A longtime lover of Brazilian sounds, this 8 song double 12” compiles reworks he created over nearly a decade, drawing from some of his most revered and respected sources. From the upfront boogie of 'Relaxa', to the stomping 'Babaluae', the tropical funk of 'Rainha do Mar', the downtempo sway of 'Era Um Era', to the almost balearic-leaning 'Dotô' and more, this mini-album contains a wide swath of Brasilian styles and flavours. With suitably vibrant artwork on the sleeve, a free download card, and a cheeky sticker pack included, this one is an absolute RSD essential!

Emerging British producer Joe Corti is a man on a roll right now. Having recently completed his first US tour, the London­born musician is now set to release the debut release from his new label, China White. A four ­track EP that’s notable for its dancefloor prowess and undoubted charm, the label’s inaugural release into the mind of a very special talent indeed.

The release opens up with our premiere, ‘My Baby’, a breezy, soul­inspired dancefloor cut of the sort that’s sure to induce many a smile. A feel­good party anthem that’s arrived just in time for summer, it marks an auspicious start to an altogether killer package. ‘Half Moon’ ups the ante even further, this time via a rambunctious, baseline led anthem with intentions that are firmly switched towards the floor. Further indication of the producer’s knack for unearthing a clever sample, it’s a peak­time flavoured cut that’s sure to go down a treat.

Opening up the B side is the sounds of ‘Hollywood Arms’. This time, Corti brings things toward deeper territory, with the end result being a track that veers between the eerie and the melancholy but also shows off the deep range that makes up his production arsenal. The most banging of the tracks comes last in the shape of ‘Without You’. A heavy cut featuring clever vocal samples that weave in and out, its soulful edge help lend it a unique charm that forces parallels with Honey Dijon at her best and is sure to prove a hit with discerning DJs from both the house and techno side of the spectrum. An all­round thrilling EP that’s never lacking in personality, Corti’s latest truly is a joy to behold.

In March long time friend of the label, Neue Grafik, stepped forth with his most fully realised offering to date. 'Innervision' had been a long time coming, born out of a encounter in Paris back in 2016. The EP begins with the lysergic ebbs and flows of ‘Innervision’, in which Wayne Snow graces the record with a sublime vocal performance.

The record takes cues from the broken-beat sound of London while paying homage to the Parisian house dance scene. Largely sample based, but also employing much more live instrumentation than ever before, Neue Grafik’s music is informed by movement and in turn offers so much for Dancers to respond to.
