A strong JT 'Cry me a River' vibe exists. It's a "You've been caught, so whatchu got to say?".

It's a heartbreak song. It's however not an 'I'm so angry I could just humiliate you rn'  kind of track, it's an 'I'm so betrayed and hurt but want to understand why/where you are coming from,'  kind of track.

I know that the man I am seeing has been in frequent contact with his ex, and has been trying to hide just how much of it there has been. I love him very much, but acknowledge his individuality and all that comes with it since I know him as a friend, not just a lover.  So I work to look past unrealistic expectations, he isn't a god. I ask him what the situation is while making it very clear I KNOW. There's nowhere to hide/run.

Overall the song feels like a blast into the past. From Whitney Houston's 'It's not right but it's Okay' to Destiny's Child's 'Say my Name' to Justin Timberlake's 'Cry me a River'. The song falls into a similar theme and sound. Old school meets new school here quite harmoniously.

The song is unpredictable, keeping you listening, wondering, "what next?". It is a captivating story to follow. It has a mysterious element to it. It is open (candid), flowey and emotional. The vocals are resonant and laid-back.
