Kaestin (Kae_n!ne) and Zach (Fel!ne) met at the Institute of Audio Research in NYC in 2014. The Brooklyn based duo formed LYKAZIF in 2019 right before the pandemic began and started producing work remotely during quarantine. Dùn_Kāi and Fel!ne are each individually producers, songwriters, and visual artists. LYKAZIF began as the accumulation and collaboration of work each would have otherwise unofficially released or discarded.  Whateverrrrrrrrr is LYKAZIF’s 1st official studio album. Clown Fight was the group’s initial dive into video, shot on the streets of New York. Cigarettes and Psychosis, shot in Miami, is their first video working with an outside production team. 
 
LYKAZIF’s music is created as part of an electronic landscape, mixing lo-fi recording techniques with hi-fi bit depth and sample rate. The over-compressed and noisy music off the album Whateverrrrrrrrr explores lyrically and sonically the ideas of isolation, self medication, and hermitude. As the duo releases videos for songs off their first studio album, they continue exploring new audio landscapes in hopes of finding a voice for their sophomore album.
