After graduating in 2001, Obie moved to the UK where he has performed at some of its top nightclubs and events including Ministry of Sound and Cargo. 

His debut release with Phobic records got playtime and support from some the the worlds top artists such as Moodymanc, Chris Lattner and Dubfire. 

A track from his debut EP 'Tribute To Amos' was included on the IBIZA UNDERGROUND 2011 Compilation & TOM POOKS's Compilation...

He is also the co owner at loose pants, an initiative bringing quality artists to SA amongst other countries. 

Latest gigs : half full : northampton, re hab, warehouse-london, 7% records (Ireland) ,

His next release is due 2013-14.

Distant Relatives JHB is an underground house and techno project of the deeper spectrum based in Johannesburg, South Africa. In the last few months the duo have managed to rack up several releases on established internationals labels such as Something Different Records, DeepWit Recordings as well as the classic Viva recordings.

Their style of deep atmospheric house and techno has garnered support from artists like Ray Okpara, Lukas Greenberg, Betoko, Jesus Pablo and many more. You can also find their music being played on radioshows and podcasts such as Proton Radio, Stafford FM, Ministry Of Sound and more.

Sand Isle is a Producer / Dj who was Born in Thembisa, bread and buttered in Alexandra where he still Lives ... 

He started dj'ng in small parties, events and Pubs in the Year 2008 and early in  2009 he started his producing his own material with his friend (Kypa) that he shared the love of House with.He decided  to take his Art seriously and went to study :Music Industry & Sound Technology at Central Johannesburg College in the Year 2010.

In Mid 2013 he worked with Qabecity Record (Freestate) for a Remix project and licensed a song with them for their Compilation, During the same phase of time his old friend whom  he also shares the Love and Passion for house music with opened a Record Label Named Plite Recordings which he got signed to as on of the opening Artists of the Label
 
2014 is looking good for Sand Isle as he is scheduling a Release of his 1st debut  EP in the 1st Quarter, Many Singles, Podcasts and More EP's.

Artist Feature Platform:  We know alot of music is released daily, but we believe these are the cream of the crop, these will stand out and shine at some point;if they havent already.

DJ M (in private life Michael Brennan Haupt) is a Durban based DJ and record collector who has been spinning house tracks for over a decade, starting back in 2001 as a bedroom DJ.  

He landed his first residency at Zeta Bar in Florida Road at the ripe age of 17. In July 2006 he secured the position as resident opening DJ at the infamous Tilt Nightclub, a slot he occupied till the club’s close in April 2009. 
He has also played as a guest DJ at various venues and events across S.A

His style incorporates warm keys and pads, heavy basslines and  driving drum patterns, which sound as comfortable in a club as they do in lounges & bars. Always slightly nostalgic, his sets pay tribute to the legendary house music sound of the 90s.  

Michael focuses a great deal of his attention on delivering an accurate mixing experience to his audiences. In doing so, he has gained a reputation for his sound technical ability behind the decks, favoring the vinyl medium. 

Catch DJ M at Motifs next initiative on the Friday 20th June at Kitcheners (Braamfontein) alongside label owner Nuno Estevez.

‘Infinite Circle’ is the new single by South African producer L E F, take from his forthcoming album ‘Melodic Utopia’ (03.11.). On his second album for Melting Pot Music, he teamed up with Lofi heavy weight LESKY, upcoming Dutch producer Afroham, Greek producer Drips Zacheer, UK producer Jake Milliner and Italian jazz beat maestro Koralle. 

The dreamy free-floating sound of ‘Melodic Utopia’ stays away from all Lofi stereotypes and puts his melodic productions known from his previous album ‘Antidote’, released in 2022, on another level.

Kerri Chandler joins forces with Nae (SA) for new single ‘Caged Bird’, accompanied by remixes from the widely beloved Atjazz, and Moplen. Leading the release is the ‘Full Vocal Media Mix’ of ‘Caged Bird’, which sees Kerri Chandler lay down emotive piano melodies, organic drums and atmospheric strings alongside soulful vocal stylings from South Africa’s Nae. Up next is the first ‘Atjazz Remix’ of ‘Caged Bird’, a nine minute cinematic excursion from the British composer, embracing the soulful fragments of the original and twisting them into a slow burning, subtly evolving nine minutes delicately detailed with sweeping echoes, reversed reverberations, crisp percussion and choppy stab sequences. An ‘Atjazz Remix Instrumental’ follows, as the name would suggest
stripping away the vocals.

Last but not least to complete the package, Bergamo, Italy’s Moplen, producer for the likes of G.A.M.M. and Lumberjacks In Hell delivers his twist on ‘Caged Bird’, shifting gears into more classic house realms, infusing drifting keys, weighty low end tones and heavily swung drums and violin melodies with the original’s smooth house aesthetic.

Following the success of Edition One, Dutch sensations Kraak and Smaak drop a brand new sixteen-track Boogie Angst compilation of the finest cuts from their label, alongside a whole host of exclusive, forthcoming material. It’s a delectable collection of soulful, funk inspired house, downtempo beats and indie infused electronica. Dutch homegrown talent Feiertag opens up the compilation with the beautifully cinematic ‘Bunraku’, harnessing the innate soul emanating from David Harks’ vocals.
