Objective (Joel Mull Stripped Mix)|| AFFIN

With the present four tracks compilation of exclusive Techno productions, Rebekah delivers the third and last part of CLRs new format, which consists of an hour and a half dj mix and two subsequent EPs. Once more, Rebekah has chosen a mixture of tracks by fellow CLR players and other colleagues she admires for their cutting edge, quality production style. Long-time CLR artist and mastering technician Brian Sanhaji contributed Gyre, the first track of the release and a truly mesmerizing, acidic journey, which fulfills the usual, extremely high sonic standard the experienced producer is known for. The second track Berkel was produced by Dualit and is characterized by a comparatively laid-back vibe with a gently driving rhythm, irresistibly haunting atmospheres and sequences. It closes the A-side of the vinyl and leaves you with the urge to turn it around and keep listening. The B-side contains two more tracks by Bas Mooy and by Rebekah herself. Bas Mooy´s Exile is another good example of minimalistic, driving and hypnotic Techno with an extraordinary rhythm and a diversified structure, while Rebekah manifests with Zero Point what she is best known for: straight-forward, full on, banging Techno with heaps of positive energy from the relentless side of the genre. Her second Mind Sets effort is a thoughtful selection, a dignified continuation of the first part of the sampler and should be enjoyed loud on top-notch sound systems. Rebekah completes the first edition of CLRs brand-new vinyl/digital venture and once more recommends herself as a tasteful advocate of uncompromising, undying Techno.

Nina Kraviz launches her трип (pronounced ‘trip’) label with a double-EP compilation entitled ’The Deviant Octopus’, featuring a pair of brand new productions from Kraviz alongside material from Terrence Dixon, emerging talent Parrish Smith & Bjarki, and veteran producers Exos & Steve Stoll.

The idea for трип has been gestating for some time with Nina Kraviz, an avid crate-digger and frequenter of numerous second-hand record stores, who has long wanted to begin a label of her own which would build on some of the principles of her beloved 90s techno labels in terms of attitude and aesthetics, whilst looking for forward-thinking modern productions that reflect her core tastes for idiosyncratic electronic music.

The art and title of 'The Deviant Octopus' comes from a single-sentence scenario dreamt up by Kraviz: “Without a moment's notice an Octopus appeared and devoured everyone in sight”. Supplied with this scenario, artist Tombo rendered his own unique visualization for the artwork that adorns the release sleeve. It's Kraviz's own nod to the labels that inspire her and grab her attention while digging through second hand records, the best of which were imbued with the unique personality of the people behind them. This extends to the sound Kraviz intends for трип: dusky, divergent and trippy music to stimulate brains, dreams and fantasies.

In this respect ‘The Deviant Octopus’ is a perfect introduction: Kraviz herself is represented on the tracklist by two new tracks that take up the mantle of last year’s Mr Jones EP by returning to the vocal-flecked hypnotic techno that marked out that release. Complimenting those are two new cuts from a true master of hallucinatory off-kilter techno, Terrence Dixon in his Population One guise.

Joining them will be a pair of names from the techno pantheon who have been huge influences on Kraviz: with a career that’s taken in releases on Synewave, Trax, Novamute and Richie Hawtin’s early-90s Probe Records, Steve Stoll has been mining his own variant on techno and acid minimalism for over twenty years, heading up the Proper NYC label and releasing under various pseudonyms, such as Cobalt, of which Kraviz has been a long-term fan. His counterintuitively titled ‘Pop Song’ sits alongside a 13-minute 90s techno excursion from Reykjavik’s Exos - the only previously-released cut (originally appearing on Thule Records sub-label Plast Trax in 1998) - together illustrating that трип will also live up to its name in the geographical sense: showcasing great music from historically vibrant electronic music scenes outside of the usual Detroit-Berlin axis.

With Kraviz looking to build a small repertory of talent around трип, this first release also makes room for two newer names: Bjarki is an Icelandic talent to keep a firm eye on, who drew Kraviz’s attention in a chance meeting after a gig at Copenhagen’s Culturebox club, after which he passed her a collection of mind-bendingly odd demos; while Parrish Smith is a talented Netherlands-based producer whose short yet impactful sketch ‘1.0 / 8.0 Afrika Genocide’ brings the second 12” to a bewitching close.

All tracks on ‘The Deviant Octopus’ will feature on Nina Kraviz’s DJ Kicks compilation, out in January 2015 on !K7 Records.

In our eyes, the man is legendary and we couldn't be happier to have him deliver something for our Slumber Session series that is utterly, well, beautiful. Mixing both highly experienced and new artists has helped to bring a new dimension to the compilation that makes it such a special array of tracks.

Back at our mammoth Stay True Scotland broadcast earlier this month, one track came real close to bringing The Caves' roof down during Nina Kraviz's powerhouse headline set. "I Wanna Go Bang" very nearly executed its titular statement – well, if the song was more about wrecking balls and less about...oh, never mind.

The vocals that stalk the track, so wholly devoid of humanity, rub up against razor-sharp claps and serious bounce in the subs. It's weighty warehouse techno of the highest order, set to devastate dark basements and big tents alike throughout the year. Simply put: Icelandic producer Bjarki has delivered a bomb.

Grip the physical via трип from July 15th onwards.

Skober comes back with one awesome and special original track for Metodiq.. Originally from Ukraine, he has released his own tracks and remixes on labels as Drumcode, Phobiq, AnalyticTrail, Trapez and more...

Nice melody with a solid groove, as always in his productions, Without doubt a big work by Skober, the hits machine!

It includes 2 huge remixes, the first by the italian duo, Mr.Bizz, they don't need presentation, one of the best talents in the Techno scene... And the second by the label boss MAAE, Both remixes with his personal concept but loyal to the original essence of the track

Definitely, all the Techno lovers, must have this masterpiece ready to play on his sets!

<p>Jacob&#8217;s debut offering on Say What? is a giant nod to the roots of the sound with all three tracks acting like a nitrous oxide-injected retrospect.&nbsp; The stomping &#8220;Cassette Tape&#8221; kicks things off with a classic -yet beefed up-&nbsp; drumset  and literally screams &#8220;less-is-more&#8221; as spoken word passages and familiar chords each play integral roles in the arrangement.&nbsp; The title track is up next and, as expected, drums from the past lead the way together with a cheeky sample and even an old-school breakbeat is introduced, reinforcing the already authentic feel.&nbsp; The package would not be complete without pianos, so the aptly-titled &#8220;Piano&#8221; closes the affair with some enormous low end, courtesy of the mighty kick and rumbling bass.</p>

Pumping basslines, deep and hypnotic synths, full power into the new season. It is THe WHite SHadow bringing some techno beats after these hot summer days. The dark and cold atmosphere is growing second by second and the sounds get rugged. Suddenly you are wishing that the nights will get longer again to celebrate fizzy electronic sounds like this.

“Sunset“ and “Sunrise“ letting you feel the power of drums and kicks in a clean version. “Lost Soul“ is more melodic and decorated with soft synths. The shaker is breathless and it seems like THe WHite SHadow collected all pent up emotions in that song. We have “Last“ sounding really metallic and unique. A lot of elements fighting against each other to end up in a magic break.

On top Dutch producer Olivier Weiter serves us a straight and uncompromising remix which will rock the dancefloor with it’s simple and catchy atmosphere. Welcome back in the club, we’ll guide you through the new season.

Jair van Kruijsdijk was born in Bogota, Colombia but moved to the Netherlands at a very young age. Jair is based in Amsterdam where he runs Click Records together with his partner, Stefano Richetta. When discovered the art of music Jair started to preform as a DJ and soon he got into music production. With launching his Shimmer alias he got signed and released on respected labels like Einmusika. Katermukke, Kittball, Parquet, Electronique, Kraftek, Toolroom and many more. All under his Shimmer alias.
But Jair moved forward and developed his style as both a DJ and producer. That's when he decided that he had to leave Shimmer as his artist name and go on with a new alias for his more deeper productions and DJ sets. That's where 'Lake Avalon' was born.
With having his Lake Avalon debut EP on Click Records just a few months ago he also released on German based Jeudi Records in the meantime. That 'Interstellar' release did great in the Beatport charts for weeks. Now he is back on the label with a new Remix EP.

Hide, an enthralling voyage between the depths of a contrasting yet soothing discourse between soulful psychedelia and dark atmospheric synth explorations 

Adria, is a merger between emotions and techno layers that convey in a visionary path that swallows you into soundscapes and abstract atmospheres. Being the main-belt asteroid and the most dance floor-driven track, it will be published in Digital Only. 

Distant Echoes Remix, is a concrete acid induced groove concretion with a psychic rawness drawn by a strong techno base that keeps the track to an intense breathless tempo and mysterious soul 

Inland Remix is the techno adaptation of an abstract mystic journey, where melody surfaces shyly from behind a curtain of reverb and industrial drums to tell you its story.

Brandt Brauer Frick produce club music with self-recorded acoustic instruments (prepared piano, vibraphone, drums, various per- cussions, brass and string instruments), rhodes, bass guitar and few analogue synthesizers, as heard on their EP „Iron Man“ (incl. remixes by Lee Jones and Treplec) or at their great performance at Berghain last month.
For THE GYM they have made two rather untypical house tracks, using more synths than they usually would, celebrating a more gymnastic dancefloor approach. Enjoy!
