Occasionally a DJ or producer comes along who unexpectedly manages to trigger the audience and perfectly merge different states of minds through his sense, responsiveness & sublime choice of record; the self-willed Richard Damen is one of them.

Accidentally rolled into the profession, literally raised on music being served from the nursery. Throughout his career Richard Damen has performed at clubs, parties and festivals of great prestige. The list of events in which he has played is endless, and is one where quality is more important than quantity. 
From Castle of Love Festival (Kerkrade) to multiple sold out events at Klokgebouw (Eindhoven), passing through Panama (Amsterdam), Subsonic (Groningen), TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht), Effenaar (Eindhoven), Patronaat (Haarlem), De Graanbeurs (Breda), Stadsporthallen (Tilburg) and Beursgebouw (Eindhoven). 

Meanwhile, ADE, Paaspop, Solar Weekend, Brabants Verbond, Insider Festival and Jungle Festival, are some of the many festivals he has played. Sharing stages with the biggest names in the industry. Richard Damen played alongside Secret Cinema, Marco Lys, Jengi, Metodi Hristov, Luuk van Dijk, Rich Wakley, Dimitri, The Deepshakerz and Simon Kidzoo, to name a few.

But that’s not all, his visibility has raised and his productions increasingly receiving great feedbacks and support by colleagues such as Martin Ikin, Luuk van Dijk, Ferreck Dawn, ROOG, Dennis Quin, Vanilla Ace, Relativ, Di Chiara Brothers and lots more. With a growing presence and ever-evolving sound, Richard Damen remains one of the electronic music scene's most exciting rising talents - soon to be a household name.

This deejay got interested in house music when he bought his first techno/trance tape. After that he soon broadened his boundaries to real hardcore. After 8 months of hard, sweaty work at newspaper rounds, he was able to buy his first set of spinning wheels at the age of 14. And that was the birth of deejay Potato. As a regular visitor of the legendary route 66, B-fifty two and Platte Zaol, he also was throwing little parties himself in several different clubs in the neighbourhood. He started to perform more frequently, with highlights of that time like Raving Nightmare (Entangled in Chaos), Reversed and several others. 
In the year 2005 he got another chance at showing his skills at Raving Nightmare, this time in the legendary Tarm Center in Frechen/Köln (Germany). From then on he keeps growing and earns his spots at numerous events in he south of the Netherlands. His sets leave such marks, that he’s asked frequently to be a regular deejay at many events. 
All kinds of mixes are floating on the world wide web, in all styles you want to hear.
