Tony Pink is a beatmaker from Durham, NC with a sound that is equally nostalgic and new -- eclectic and soulful

Tony began making beats at the age of 15 under the name AMP Li'Fy, drawing musical influence from sample-based producers such as Kanye West, 9th Wonder, & J Dilla.  

Tony would go on to study music theory/composition at East Carolina University, and subsequently put beatmaking to the side from 2013-2017 to focus on his studies. 

In 2018, Tony would reemerge with a new wealth of musical knowledge under the name GhostWriterBeats-- releasing 2 beat tapes: Daydreamer (2018) and the Diamond EP (2019). 

Following the release of the Diamond EP, Tony spent the next year in deep introspection. Desiring more authenticity and transparency in his music, he dropped the evasive GhostWriter moniker for the name Tony Pink-- which is an abbreviation of the name that he shares with his late father(Antonio Pinkney).

64 yo male, abstract artist, photographer, consciousness writer, lover of nature, and non-dualism teachings. Love dancing to awesome rhythms, beats, and sounds. All sounds originate from the one sound of pure silence from the infinite within/without. I also work as a patient care coordinator at Gamma Knife Center @ Harborview Medical Center.

Into various forms of music such as smooth jazz, classical, chillout reggae, house, chillout trance, progressive trance, trance, minimal trance. Really love to move to the various trance rhythms. Something to be said about how sound correlates with consciousness/creation.

Have a great awareness and appreciation of nature and enjoy being outdoors in the sun, rain, and snow where life is truly immense and incredible beyond just the five senses. Wild ocean beaches are especially amazing, with all the rhythmic patterns of the five elements speak wordless dancing expressions of creative ecstasy. Beachcombing is the dancing to these rhythms.

I love being present, curious, inquisitive, and open to whatever life presents here and now. I enjoy defying the land of make believe that most live in within the confines of their programmed minds. Beyond thinking is the abyss of silence where the truth of awareness presents itself in full living color. Awareness is what we are and have always been.
