And in the summer of 2013, Orjan Nilsen finally hears their call. The #32 DJ in the world and Norwegian studio wizard proudly presents his second artist album. Balancing the power of instinct with the endless options of play, Orjan Nilsen brings us: 'No Saint Out Of Me'.

Including collaborations with Adam Young, Christina Novelli, Senadee, Jonathan Mendelsohn and Natalie Peris, as well as mind-blowing instrumentals, 'No Saint Out Of Me' moves. Two years in the making, it is the long-awaited successor to his first, the 2011 debut album 'In My Opinion'. As a true artist befits, he proceeded his musical journey. Stretching the boundaries of his own imagination, Ørjan Nilsen discovered many new identities to be part of his own. And so, he started an explore them. Ørjan:"I think it was about time I showed another side of myself, a side I've been wanting to unleash for quite some time now! I would say that 98% of the album can be played live, which is quite different from the last album I had."

What hasn't changed, is Ørjan's infinite blend of styles. Pushing trance, techno, electro, pop and house, 'No Saint Out Of Me' takes an open mind. Originally released in March 2013 this was another of Ciro's wonderful works on Defcon, ahead of his debut album release this year! The original was backed up with awesome remixes from Mr Carefull, Nicola Maddaloni, and Ian STANDERWICK.

Supported by Armin van Buuren at #ASOT600 and later featured on the Universal Religion 7 compilation later that summer, this proved to be one of Defcon's most successful releases to date!

To give it a brand new makeover we turned to the incredibly talented Icedream, who will be featuring many times on Defcon this year! He has given First Coming a brand new drive that has already seen Aly & Fila support on #FSOE329 \o/

Fresh from her releasing her "Tales From The Sun" album, Dinka has been wowing us with her distinctive and gorgeously melodic sound for some time - thanks to Anjunadeep classics like "Zero Altitude" and "Aircraft".

"The Sleeping Beauty", their latest effort on Anjunadeep, is a real treat and captures the melodic musician at her creative peak. Underpinned by slick, watertight production and trademark house grooves, the Original Mix awakes from its slumber with a blend of bubbling keys and divine floataway hooks that mark the mix out as one of Dinka’s finest moments.

Komytea probably wouldn’t have been the most obvious choice to give ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ a bit of a re-tweak, but they have taken to the task with great gusto. Taking the melodic parts of the original, they twist, turn and warp them into something that’s very much in their own inimitable style. 

And by throwing in intermittent dashes of electric guitar and a grimy, unpolished, chainsaw bassline, they’ve managed to turn the demeanour of the original completely upside down into something that’s unimaginably menacing and sinister.

Vadim Soloviev, former participant of «Sound Fiction» project and resident producer of legendary Russian record label «Atmosfera», and nowadays one of Intricate Records’ founders, presents a single consisting of two brand new tracks, «Monday Bounce» and «Reverse Gear», scheduled for release in early July 2012.

«Compared to each other, to their distinguished frame of mind and to what I’ve done before, these are very different tracks, but I’ve tried to keep those recognizable elements of my signature sound — Vadim Soloviev comments on the forthcoming single. — „Monday Bounce“ is a sunny summerlike track with funky sound elements on the forefront. I had plans to perform an experiment like this for a quite a long time and was thinking of putting more positive charge into my original works. „Reverse Gear“ is distinguished by a vivid groove, deep melodic pattern and rich, saturated sound — that’s a logical continuation of my recent work».

«Monday Bounce» is a peculiar protest against the beginning of workaday life. Lightweight and elevated mood of this track is an eloquent evidence of the fact that Monday can be entirely dissimilar to the day how we usually perceive it. «Reverse Gear», on the contrary, is a quite pleasant evening track with female voice samples, mentally transferring the listeners far from the trivial city humdrum and vanity.

Nueva Digital is proud to present for it's 61st release one of the most anticipated releases to date in recent memory as we locked down enigmatic Israeli trio Flash Brothers and their single Mokka, with accompanying remixes from the very talented Michael Cassette, Russian Prog maestro PROFF and UK rising star D05!

Flash Brothers sculpted a truly genius Original that had us from the hypnotizing melodic start and slow stabbing strings and then finally a rhythmic bassline to die for.  Mokka brings back what we've all been longing for in this industry: Real Prog House...that truly takes you on a journey till the last note.

Also making their Nueva debut are personal progressive heroes of ours and major Anjunadeep stars: Michael Cassette.  MC takes the more atmospheric downtempo Original and turns this mother out with a truly mesmerizing display of punch and an arm hair raising breakdown that brings in an anthemic almost haunting melody.  We will be hammering this one out for months to come.

Once again we welcome back one of our favourite producers PROFF, also no stranger to Anjunadeep as well as heading up the Label Intricate Records with fellow Russian friends.  This is a busy man, so we find it amazing that he not only provides us with a gorgeous Extended Mix but also a fantastic alternate Intro Mix.  Both Mixes exude that characteristic attention to detail that PROFF is known for while he creates one of the best 'Goose Bump' moment's we've had in quite a while.

Closing up this amazing release is yet another debut artist for Nueva hailing from the United Kingdom, D05 makes this a release that is truly hard to pick a favourite, at least for us that is.  Bringing his signature 80's cerebral sound to his Mix, D05 lulls you you along before bringing in one of the coolest breakdowns we've heard in a while.  More of D05 to come on Nueva for sure!
