After its outstanding reception following its initial release back in January, Wankelmut & Emma Louise's infectious single - 'My Head Is A Jungle' returns with a souped up package and is set to be released worldwide on 15TH September via Positiva. Heavily supported by BBC R1's Pete Tong, 'My Head Is A Jungle' was dubbed his 'Essential New Tune' back in February as well as receiving championing support from BBC R1's tastemaker Annie Mac. It comes as no surprise that the single is already platinum in Italy, top 30 in Germany (and rising) and top 5 airplay in South Africa!

Wankelmut who has mainly been deejaying in underground clubs in Berlin such as Sisyphos and MIKZ, became 'Newcomer of the Year' last year (GROOVE Magazine) and has been in high demand as both DJ and Remixer ever since. Wankelmut has a very entertaining and well crafted way of deejaying with a huge variety of styles from Deep House to Techno. Beside playing all over Europe he remixed Gossip, Jay Haze, Lukas Graham and various other underground records which established his status within the Techno House Scene. On his 24th birthday in December 2011 Wankelmut aka Jacob Dilßner uploaded his unofficial remix for Asaf Avidan's "Reckoning Song' to Soundcloud. More than one year later the now official remix has sold 1.3 Million copies on Sony/Columbia, scored over 100 Million Youtube Plays and entered the #1 spot in 8 european countries, as well as being the best-selling track on Beatport last year.

In cooperation with the talented Australian singer Emma-Louise, the duo deliver a finely tuned piece of melodic brilliance. Wankemut's faultless Tech-house production, and Emma-Louise's blissful vocals will have you instantly hooked and will be circling around your head for days to come. In addition to the supreme remix package from Gui Boratto, Kasper Bjorke and Solee, new remixes come from Friend Within, and Marc 'MK' Kinchen, who steps up to deliver one of his much loved MK edits which premiered last Friday on Pete Tong.

Sometimes happen that emotions drive us in places where only immagination is the real protagonist, with feelings that moves you no matter how relaxing or anxious they may be.

This happened when we were asked to compose an original soundtrack for a video pretty unique in its genre, with a stunning, photo-realistic computer graphic and capable to inject you harmony and sadness at the same time.
With that video, partially in slow motion and partially focused on the action, the client asked for us for a classical and vocal composition inspired by the musical current of the 50s and 60s.
We had the opportunity to collaborate with a talented singer who sang our own lyrics, and with our reliable musicians to record a real small string ensemble, embellished by a woodwinds quartet.

Making a song like this wasn’t at all an easy task, but the emotions that arose from the movie helped us composing it with a constant inspiration.

Alexa Lusader: 
This song is very special to me because it's the story of how my good friend Aloma and I met. Aloma and I "met" online in June 2014 after SirensCeol remixed both of our original songs— Neptune Man & White Snow. She reached out to me and told me she loved it. We exchanged some compliments and that was kind of it. This all happened when I was really struggling with writing to EDM & had a lot of projects that fell through. I was really discouraged. So a couple days later, I asked her if she would help me out with a track I was struggling with. I was one call away from saying no to the track until Aloma swooped in and saved the song. In that moment, I felt revival. I felt the confidence I had lacked for so long starting to grow inside of me again. We started skyping and writing together all the time. Helping each other out, venting about stupid things in the industry, becoming best friends. In November I went to Los Angeles to work on more original music. When I got to my very talented friend/producer’s apartment, I texted Aloma saying that I wished she was there with me. Aloma lives in Vancouver, Canada and I live in Michigan so getting together isn't the easiest. My manager Marc went downstairs to “bring his friend up” and I thought nothing of it. All of a sudden, Marc face-times me. I answer it and see Aloma’s face on the screen. It took me about 3 seconds to process that she was on the other side of the door. I’ve never been so happily surprised in my life. 2 nights later, another surprise knocked on my door. It was SirensCeol (who I had also never met). Shortly after, Tyrone Tyler (a singer/songwriter friend of ours) came over and we all began writing. A few hours later, an overload of creativity took place and 405 was born.


Aloma Steele: 

The internet is a powerful thing. 

It can spark a romance.
It can reunite families.

For me, it has brought me two very special people.

In May last year, I had my first label release ever, with many fabulous remixers in on it. I remember the time the second one was given to me. I was instantly connected, and wanted to smack my lyrics on every one of his tracks. 

He is SirensCeol

One fine day, he remixed an insanely brilliant song titled- "White Snow".

I listened to it over and over. I even contacted the artist, confessing to her how much I loved it. 

She is Alexa Lusader 

After months of working with both Alexa and SirensCeol, I had to meet them. We all became too close not to.

Alexa so happened to be in L.A in November, so Sirens, Alexa's manager Marc, and I planned out the surprise, and shortly after, my bags were packed. 

I was in a cab, on the 405, until we reached where they were staying. Marc greeted me outside, and minutes later we were outside the door. 

He FaceTimes his artist. I take his phone. 
"Open the door, baby!" 

We embrace, and two days later, Sirens surprises her as well.

We then have about 10 people in a room working on a song together, including the wonderful Tyrone Tyler, and my lovely friend Ilona. 

This is the story of our meeting.
