Tyriq Omar is from Detroit, MI and currently based in Los Angeles, CA. His latest project, RAIN CHECK, is the second album in the Soul Hop genre, which takes the bounce and head nod appeal of hip hop and blends it with the raw, honest feeling and emotion that soul music delivers.
