The foundation of the Dynamics' reggae music is profoundly indebted to '60s/'70s deep soul and funk. Their initial appeal to club DJs, crate-diggers, and classic reggae aficionados came from their cover songs, transforming indie rock, disco, and Northern soul songs into vintage, analog-induced rocksteady and dub. Originating from disparate places around the globe such as Cameroon, Boston, U.S., and Bristol, England, this five-person outfit — Mounam (vocalist/songwriter), Mr. Day (vocalist/songwriter/bassist), Stevie Levi (vocalist/MC/songwriter), Patchworks (producer/multi-instrumentalist), and Flab Master Flab (producer/engineer) — officially established the retro-soul, reggae group in late 2003 in the La Croix-Rousse arrondissement of Lyon, France. Although their love for reggae has maintained the group's unity, they each have additional backgrounds, deriving from various solo and group projects, in African worldbeat, hip-hop, deep house, dance-pop, gospel, and acid jazz which all bleed onto the Dynamics' organic recordings and performances.

Next up on The Reflex’s official vinyl label DISCOLIDAYS is a two tracker fully licensed from Cerrone via Because Music / Malligator featuring first time ever multi remix from the classic ‘Look For Love’ by The Reflex (the original was released on his Cerrone IV album in 1978) b/w a welcome repress of The Reflex revision of ‘Hooked On You’ (Cerrone #1 remix of all Cerrone remixes on Spotify) that was only available on a super limited 12” back in 2015.
Both remixes have been released digitally by Because / Malligator on the ‘Cerrone x The Reflex’ EP last April, and Cerrone generously granted a licence to The Reflex in order to release it officially on his label DISCOLIDAYS second release.
Cerrone loved the remixes so much that both are now integral part of his Live / DJ set and ‘Look for Love’ will be the only remix done by someone else featured on his forthcoming album ‘Cerrone by Cerrone’ which sees the disco legend revisiting his own back catalogue.
The vinyl went straight to the top of Juno Records overall charts on pre-orders alone, the day before its official release date.

Slamboree is a live band with a Smörgåsbord of circus performers, daredevils and entertainers. We take each show as it comes, assembling a different crew from our collective for each show and every gig is very different to the last. 

Musically we fuse bass-driven beats with live orchestra, guitars, percussion, loops, visuals, brass, accordian, pyrotechnics & circus. The genres bounce around breakbeat, dubstep, drum & bass, dub & electro swing fused with balkan, folk, and 'gypsy' flavours... all original & all live. 

Within this very first year together we've been fortunate enough to perform our live shows at some amazing places such as Glastonbury Festival, Electric Picnic, Boomtown, Shambala, Beatherder, Kendal Calling and the River Thames in London.
