The idea for remixing 'Endless Wave' came about whilst reading about a fantastic photography book by Michael Moir & Jamie Brisick called 'The Eighties at Echo Beach' (check it out btw it's well worth it)

The book is essentially a beautifully nostalgic look at surfing during the 80s, and whilst looking at the images online, the original 'Endless Wave' came on random within iTunes, and the rest is history...

Imagine if Don Henly's 'Boys of Summer' & 'Kim Carne's 'Bette Davis Eyes' had a child, and that child grew up and fell in love with Solar Stone's 'Seven Cities' and you'd be halfway there...

Acclaimed electronic duo Kasablanca present 'Crucible', their final Anjunabeats single of the year.

This enigmatic melodic techno duo exploded onto the scene in summer 2020 with their Lane 8 collaboration, 'Run', a bonafide hit for both artists. As of December 2022, it’s been streamed over 40 million times worldwide and charted at #1 on SiriusXM BPM. ‘Run’ was followed by their debut album 'Human Learning', and a standout collaboration with Bob Moses, 'Afterglow'. They've enjoyed extensive support on their releases from Vintage Culture, The Chainsmokers, Above & Beyond, Pete Tong, Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, and many more.

In December 2021, they joined us at Anjunabeats, remixing Above & Beyond's 'Black Room Boy' as part of the '10 Years of Group Therapy' celebrations. Their first original music on the label arrived soon after: the three-track 'Immunity EP' was released in March 2022. The title track ‘Immunity’ was playlisted on Diplo’s Revolution station on Sirius XM, and was described as “a sleekly propulsive slice of melodic techno” by Billboard. They returned to us over the summer with 'Dream About You', premiered by Above & Beyond on Anjunabeats Volume 16.

Premiered at Boma Festival in Sao Paulo in late 2021 and finessed in their studio, 'Crucible' is Kasablanca's final release of the year ahead of more new music heading our way in 2023.

The duo debuted their live show, replete with racks of modular synthesisers, at Red Rocks Amphitheater in September 2021 while supporting US bass superstar Rezz. They've thrilled crowds across the globe, including at our Group Therapy Weekender festival at Dockyards London - their first-ever UK headline show. 

Having recently wrapped up a run of shows with deadmau5 and NERO, Kasablanca are set for their first headline tour across North America in early 2023, alongside supporting Above & Beyond on New Year's Eve at Washington D.C's Echostage, and an appearance at Miami's Ultra Music Festival.

Myon remixes JODA’s ‘Breaking Down Walls’, out now on Anjunabeats. 

2022 was a big year for Jono Grant and Darren Tate, aka JODA. Grant is one-third of Above & Beyond who, throughout a two-decade career, have established themselves as one of the biggest electronic groups in the world. In 2019, Above & Beyond received an offer to score an environmental documentary, ‘The Last Glaciers’. He enlisted classically trained musician, songwriter, producer, hitmaker and close friend Darren Tate, and the duo got stuck into composing together.

It became a dream project all around – not least because it sparked further ideas. JODA was born. Working in Tate’s studio in suburban north London, and A&B’s south London HQ, the pair were in a creative bubble during the early days of the pandemic. And the partnership proved fruitful. Their self-titled album ‘JODA’, celebrating the musical influences that Jono and Darren grew up with, was released on Anjunabeats in August 2022 – to a rapturous reception from the Anjunafamily and beyond.

Mario Egeto, aka Myon, has been in our orbit for many years. He’s been responsible for some of the finest vocal anthems in the Anjunabeats archive, including a series of singles from frequent collaborator Alissa Feudo: ‘Omen In The Rain’, ‘Perfect Ghost’ and ‘The Darkest Light’. 2022 saw Myon release ‘Moon’ on Anjunabeats, as well as the second volume of his ‘Tales From Another World’ mix series on Black Hole Recordings. 

Myon’s remix of ‘Breaking Down Walls' was premiered to 20,000 people at Above & Beyond’s sold-out Group Therapy 500 celebrations in Los Angeles last October.

JODA ‘Breaking Down Walls’ (Myon’s Return to 2000 Mix) is out now on Anjunabeats. JODA's self-titled debut album is out now, and is available to pre-order on black vinyl from the Anjuna Music Store.

ALPHA 9 and Lørean join forces to remix ‘Before The Dawn’, the first track from the former’s upcoming EP. 

Artem Stolyarov, known as both ARTY and ALPHA 9, has earned millions of fans worldwide and filled some of the most coveted clubs and festivals on earth. He arrived at Anjunabeats under his ARTY alias over a decade ago. ‘Rush’, ‘Zara’, ‘Around The World’, ‘Rebound’ and ‘Kate’ are classics that helped define the sound of the label in the early 2010s.

Artem later looked inward and found renewed purpose as ALPHA 9, the alias under which he’s explored his true musical identity in recent years. Focusing on the progressive trance that he fell in love with as a teenager, some of Artem’s standout moments as ALPHA 9 include ‘Before The Dawn’, ‘Stellar’, ‘Skin’, and his faithful update of Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s evergreen classic ‘Good For Me’.

In January 2023, the debut ALPHA 9 album emerged. Entitled 'New Horizons', the album has already amassed over 6.4 million streams, and is an enticing look at the ALPHA 9 project to date and where it's heading next. Tracks from the album took centre stage during ALPHA 9's Group Therapy 500 set at Banc of California Stadium, Los Angeles, and during his 'New Horizons' album tour across North America.

Released in 2019, ALPHA 9’s ‘Before The Dawn’ attracted support from Hardwell, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Grum, Cosmic Gate, Fatum, and more. His latest rework sees him reunite with Lørean, who previously collaborated with Artem on ‘Sirens’, the eleventh track on ‘New Horizons’.
