NEGENTROPY is Markur, from Photonz, operating with a more evident influence of traditional dub techniques - not to be confused with "dub techno". The music wasn't 100% improvised. It wasn't made using hardware and tape. It's not particularly distorted. The artist does not have a background in performing experimental music. The tracks didn't emerge out of a specific context or interesting local scene burning with communal exchange. Just pure, honest manifestation strictly for the OEJ troops out there that get it.

Madrid native Dennis Cruz makes his Solid Grooves Records debut with three rumbling cuts including a remix from fellow countryman Wade.

Since his debut in 2010, Cruz has become a staple in Beatport’s charts, not to mention the sets of artists such as Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Nicole Moudaber, Yousef and Roger Sanchez. Throughout this time the likely producer has dropped releases on Saved, Deeperfect, Stereo Productions and Kinetika, not to mention his very own imprint Lemon-Aid Music. He now arrives on PAWSA & Michael Bibi’s Solid Grooves Records, joining the likes of Wade, Kuo Climax and Rockwell & Landers for an exciting second year for the label.

'IN THE BAG' was released on Harthouse Records some thirteen years ago. After having released two previous albums on FORCE INC. Justin Berkovi's 'In the Bag' LP was a direct assault on the dancefloor and instantly captured the imagination of punters and DJs' alike leading to worldwide tours and the joining of the famed Cocoon roster.

Two of the most popular tracks were the oddly titled 'Sustained Buxom Mad Chips' and 'You're So Alien'. Both featuring heavy analog basslines they become signature tracks for the young producer at the time.

max 404 (named after the android from the cult sf-movie 'Android' has been active since the early nineties and part of the 'Eindhoven techno sound'. He took a break around the year 2000, getting tired with dance music and rejoined the music scene as 'TJ Kong', named after the cowboy from the movie Dr. Strangelove. Under this name he currently releases on Compost, Poker Flat and Large Recordings.

He returned last year to EevoNext as TJ Kong with a contribution to our Agenda 2020 compilation and as max 404 with a remastered release of his highly praised debut album 'Love & Mathematics'. Now this EP brings you all remastered max 404 tracks from the our vault, including an exclusive remixes by renowned artists Russ Gabriel. The other side features a great vinyl-only remix by Justin Berkovi of the original TJ Kong track 'Haunted by water'.

So finally, after 20 years the cowboy and the android finally meet on this EP!

Rødhåd is one of the city’s most promising and talked about new artists of the last year. With only 2 EP’s on Dystopian (the label he helms with friends) & 1 remix on Semantica, that’s quite an achievement.

‘Spomeniks EP’ is his first release outside of Dystopian but preserves his deep & melancholic yet powerful style.

Apart from a rising producer & prolific dj, Rødhåd is a very down to earth guy with a strong vision and an open mind.
