A true veteran of the Melbourne music scene, Scott Freedman made his name as owner operator of Scattered Industries between 1997 and 2006, bringing a multitude of the world’s finest acts to over 50 events. 

As a DJ Scott established his reputation under his former alias Ruckus, with residencies at seminal events and club nights such as Hardware, Two Tribes, Pharmacy and Lounge. After an extended break, he made a long awaited return to the circuit, shaping a trademark intricacy of layering and sampling, traversing the spectrum of techno soundscapes.

2015 saw Scott team up with local Melbourne legend Dave Juric, with the two coming together to form Mahala. From humble beginnings as a platform to share the music they love, it has organically grown into a podcast and events series. A groundbreaking first year introduced the likes of AFFKT, Marc Marzenit, Paul Hazendonk, Wankelmut, Alex Kidd, Nick Hoppner, Pepperpot, Jody Wisternoff and James Curd.

Scott is a mainstay for those at the forefront of Australia’s electronic music scene. As a regular fixture for Darkbeat, funf, Stable and Sunny he’s supported a list of internationals any accomplished DJ would envy. Handpicked for Carl Cox’s inaugural Pure festival as one of only two locals to play main stage and international bookings on the horizon, 2016 is shaping up to be a massive year.

From the lush, green embrace of the Dandenong Ranges, emerges Timmus, a sonic architect mapping the uncharted territories of sound. His name, a subtle reversal of "summit," hints at a collective climb, a voyage into the heart of vibration. "Music is the air in every breath," he declares, a testament to a life lived in resonant harmony.

As the owner and director of the Australian label Smash Bang Records, Timmus is a prolific artist with a diverse range of sonic explorations. He crafts and performs under various aliases, each a unique facet of his artistic vision: Sacred Summit, Micro Jaxon, Swingtime Paradigm, and Psymus Drummit. He also lends his rhythmic prowess as the hybrid drummer for The Oddness & Band.

These projects, along with his solo work, showcase his ability to seamlessly blend genres and push the boundaries of sonic exploration.
He is a weaver of sound, a collector of auditory fragments, a builder of sonic sanctuaries. From the tender age of four, nestled in the quiet of rural Victoria, he crafted instruments and captured sonic impressions on cassette. By twelve, he was sculpting sonic landscapes with digital tools, foreshadowing his future as a master of auditory alchemy.

Timmus is a prism, refracting sound into a spectrum of artistic expressions. His DJ sets are not mere performances but immersive journeys, blurring the lines between genres, inviting listeners to transcend the ordinary. He is a sonic archaeologist, unearthing the hidden frequencies of the world. Field recordings, tribal rhythms, minimalist whispers, and sacred harmonies merge into a tapestry of sound. He crafts instruments from the remnants of the everyday, coaxing forgotten melodies from discarded objects. His vision: a "universal gathering of beings and cultures," a symphony of micro-sounds that heal and unite.
