Originally from Madrid, Kwartz has now made Berlin his creative hub.
Kwartz first caught the attention of global tastemakers with a series of electrifying EPs, setting him on a trajectory to join the esteemed PoleGroup in 2013, helmed by the iconic Oscar Mulero, where he began to release his works regularly.
Beyond his works on PoleGroup, Kwartz's music has left an indelible mark on prominent international labels, including SK_Eleven, 47, Mord Records, Semantica, Horo, and Warm Up Recordings, to name just a few. In 2016, he embarked on a new journey, launching his own label, Order&Devotion, where he explores dark atmospheres and visceral sounds, all seamlessly interwoven with rhythms designed for the dance floor. In 2021 he started a parallel project with Kaiser called Force Reaction, a project oriented towards a more classic side of techno. Kwartz's sets are more than just music; they are captivating stories told through sound.
Through a thrilling blend of raw, mental, and driving elements, he keeps dance floors in a constant state of tension.

As a music producer and DJ, Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno. His music allies the soul of the genre with a modern methodology, and has the seal of genre defining labels like: Klockworks, Soma, Modularz, MORD, or Warm Up. He is one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own mastering studio: Tema Mastering.

To everyone who read Subculture Vulture and everyone who didn't here is a mix of every artist I mentioned in the chapter on my time in (and the history of) the Rave World. I would for sure have written it differently if i'd known I would be undertaking trying such a headache inducing musical project. C&C Music Factory and Sven Väth don't exactly flow together naturally. It's not perfect but it's pretty dang good and a true time traveling trip through the history of dance music- some of these tracks are before my time and some of them are after my time but all of them "slap" as people who are from after my time are wont to say. Im proud of this mix and more than that wanted to give a gift to everyone who bought the book (enough to make it a national best seller!!!) Each chapter was a love letter and my time in the Rave Scene, promoting and djing taught me more about how to love and be loved than maybe any of the other worlds I have traveled through on my weird ass life journey. When i completed writing the chapter on raves I bought a DJ controller and dove back into a hobby and a world I'd left behind. So, in that way, this mix is the direct result of my book. Circumscums closing set for Format Toronto with Marrøn, Feb 11 2024

The @circumscums dynamic duo exudes infectious vibrance and energy behind the decks. The hypnotic and dreamy flavors of techno they’re consistently serving up are delicious, nutritious, and skillfully plated. With a background playing instruments such as piano and drums from a young age and a collective 12 years of DJ experience, these two are ones to watch.

Circumscums have quickly made their mark on the Toronto underground scene; sharing bills with Ben klock, Seteoc Mass, Rrose, Rene Wise, and more. They recently made their US debut at the Techno Snobs parties in Phoenix and will be playing at the iconic Midwest camping festival, The Great Beyond, this July.

As the founders of Paradox, their passion for dance music and culture shines even when they’re not behind the decks. Bringing the likes of legends such as Wata Igarashi, DVS1, Truncate, Dustin zhan and DJ Hyperactive, a no photo policy, and creative venue transformations with top-tier production, these are “iykyk” parties that are raising Toronto standards and turning it into a global techno destination.

Walking the tightrope between no-surrender rhythmic attacks and corrosive melodies straight out a rust-gnawed industrial dystopia, Pushmann’s delivery serves up a perfectly balanced blend of infrared spook, intense gravity acceleration and dissonant fractals of sound wrapped into one fiery trial by combat.

Born in Sweden but operating out of Berlin, Philippa Pacho has been making waves in the scene as of late, notably amassing a stream of incendiary performances at some of the world’s finest (and most demanding) clubs, including Bassiani and Fuse. Herald of a fast-paced, no-surrender type of DJing, all eyes set on bringing crowds to a simmer thru and thru, Philippa muscles her way across various techno sub-genres and rhythms with conviction and poise, alternatively pushing classic Detroit-influenced material, Nordic minimalism and more Continental European-informed expressions, as she harnesses the very best of these through uncompromising selections with a pristine mixing technique.
