An introspective project which literally taught me how to rap. This offering was written and recorded at a time where I was timid, mic-shy and on a pursuit of approval. I'm proud to have left such a dark time with such an uplifting project, I needed to unlock this so I can really tap into making the music I like. I hope you like it too.

Tokelo Foso (born September 23, 1999), professionally known as Just Slick (also known as Slick Drop The Beat), is a Mosotho beat-maker, award-winning music producer, and graphic designer from Maseru, Lesotho. Known for his signature production style and genre-blending sound, Slick has made a name for himself in Hip Hop, Trap, and most notably, Amapiano—positioning himself as one of the most respected and forward-thinking young producers in Lesotho.

Slick began producing music in 2013 and quickly gained local recognition with his early work. His debut compilation, Dirty Deeds, featured eight original tracks from various artists and earned him two nominations at the 2nd Annual Ultimate Music Awards (UMA). At just 16 years old, he won Best Producer, becoming the youngest recipient of the award and the first Hip Hop producer to receive the title. After a short hiatus to focus on academics, he returned with the single Vanity and launched his official website, justslick23.com. He followed this with Dirty Deeds 2 in 2016, and his debut mixtape Blow Up Season in 2017, which featured the popular single Wave with Snurd and T-Mech.

In 2021, Just Slick shifted his creative energy into Amapiano, debuting the genre with his first EP Musique. Later that same year, he released Twenty Two, further solidifying his sound within the Amapiano space. In 2022, he dropped the 23 EP, showcasing more polished arrangements and deeper grooves. The following year, he marked a decade in music with the reflective and well-crafted project Ten Years Later, which captured his growth and versatility. In 2025, he announced a soulful Amapiano rendition of Jill Scott’s Golden, set to be released exclusively on justslick23.com.

Beyond music, Just Slick is also an accomplished graphic designer. His ability to visually shape his brand has made him a sought-after creative both in the studio and behind the scenes. Whether designing album art or crafting beats, his work reflects a deep sense of artistic control and intention.

With over a decade of production behind him, Just Slick continues to evolve with each release, remaining committed to originality, culture, and sound innovation. His work speaks to both experience and vision—an ongoing journey of creating music that resonates deeply and endures.
