Joern Elling Wuttke might be known regarding his project "Alter Ego", together with Roman Flügel and the worldwide techno anthem "Rocker", resulting from that collaboration. This genredefining track changed the face of techno till today and united fans of all musical directions. Alter Ego stormed the official U.K. - single charts and could even brake into the German Top 50. Not only the dance press such as "Groove" magazine or the british DJ - Magazine was impressed but also the popculture and artmagazines like Spex, The Wire, Intro or DE:Bug.
They won the German - Dance Music Award as best dance producers and best track 2005. The Groovemagazine readers voted them for best track, best liveact, best album and best remixers at the same year. Common appearances with Sven Väth, at his "Amnesia - Clubnight" in Ibiza made "Rocker" the anthem of the island. The track released a musical chain reaction that leaded them to nearly all major clubs and festivals all over the world. Since mid of the nineties numerous remixworks developed. Daft Punk, Primal Scream, Depeche Mode, The Pet Shop Boys, Two Lone Swordmen, Kylie Minogue, 2 Raumwohnung, Octave One, Chicks On Speed, Sven Väth and The Human League just to name a few. To release his own material fully independant he founded the labels Klang Elektronik and Playhouse with Ata Macias, Heiko M.S.O and Roman Flügel in the beginning of the nineties. Later on Ata opened the club "Robert Johnson". This Place played for Wuttke a very importand role as an extended studio, test laboratory for new productions and livingroom. Acid Jesus, Alter Ego and Sensorama now turned out to be the main projects of the duo, which were produced at his "Klangfabrik" studio. The four "Sensorama" albums, produced for the Hamburg based "Ladomat" label, created also loads of excitement. The brilliant artwork and the "garagedoor video" for the track "Starescalator"
showed their love for intelligent popmusic and the connection with the young german artscene.
They won the German Video Award as best independent video 1999. "Groove" magazine named "Starescalator" as one of the most influential videos in the history of electronic music. In addition he also coproduced the two Sven Väth albums "Contact" and "Fire".
With Väth following touring, remixing and many joint appearances over almost twenty years.
From the first gig in Frankfurts club "The Omen"
up to regular performances at his "Cocoon" parties at the "Amnesia" in Ibiza or on his extensive world tours. 2011 saw Wuttke and Flügel founding their own digital label "Alter Ego Recordings" at "Finetunes" to regain their complete backcatalog. On this platform they released 2012 the last two Alter Ego albums "The Lost Album" and "Greatest Hits". A "Rocker" remix
produced by the Brighton boys "Prokter And Fitch"
followed on the british "Skint" imprint.
The remix reached number one at the "Beatport" charts and number one at the U.K. DMZ - Buzz charts. Last year Wuttke released the album of his   rockband "The Sheets" on the taiwan based "Blue Recods". By publishing this record including material from 1986 - 1989 Wuttkes career, wich started for the love of "Velvet Underground", C- 86 Guitarpop, the shoegaze / ravesound of "Primal Scream" and Detroittechno went full circle. Gerd Jansons excellent label "Running Back" brought out a split e.p. with a "Holy Garage" track, Wuttke produced with Flügel in the midnineties, at the end of 2013.
This year, the Alter Ego remix of "Daft Punks" "Human After All" appears on the eponymous remixalbum of the french. Efdemin also known by his label "Dial" is releasing "Acid Jesus" techno classic "Radium" on his strictly vinyl label "naif", end of the year. All this experiences on long nights and weekends in over thirty years of music is a great gift.

Pawas Gupta (known professionally as Pawas) is an Indian-born DJ and electronic music producer based in Berlin. With a classical foundation, particularly training on the tabla and self-taught skills in percussion, bass guitar, and keyboards, he began his DJ career in India at age 17. In 2004, he relocated to Europe, rapidly establishing himself in Germany’s electronic scene.

Transitioning into music production, Pawas made a strong entry in 2007 with the release "Katang" . Since then, he’s released popular tracks like Det (with Daso), Playtex EP, Bummelzug, Piano Rain, Naja (with Arooj Aftab) and Camel blues, on respected labels including Spectral Sound, Connaisseur, Squonk, Get Physical and Night Drive Music. Many of these have been supported by heavyweights such as Dubfire, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Marc Romboy, Jimpster, and Satoshi Tomiie. 

His signature sound fuses melodies, musicianship, atmospheric textures, deep house, and Detroit-influenced grooves—what he calls intelligent house. Pawas’s musical journey bridges his roots in classical Indian music with his experiences as an independent producer in Germany

Moshi Moshi Records started off as a hobby in 1998. Set up by three friends who had jobs working for major record labels. It was intended as a way of working with the bands that they loved but which didn’t fit in with the agenda of the day-job taskmasters. Early single releases from Zan Lyons, Kathryn Williams & Pedro and J Xaverre earned the label some plaudits. And sold a few records. Over the next five years Moshi Moshi slowly started to build a reputation for interesting, slightly leftfield, low-key releases. Then in 2004 things changed. For a start Moshi stopped being a hobby and became a fulltime job. Very soon after, Hot Chip and Bloc Party arrived and Moshi Moshi quickly became a name known to more than a few. Chart success followed with Yeti and The Rakes and higher-profile album releases from Architecture In Helsinki and Au Revoir Simone helped lift the label onto a new level. Then from 2006 onwards came artists such as Hot Club De Paris, Tilly And The Wall, The Wave Pictures, Slow Club, James Yuill, The Drums, Summer Camp, the list goes on.

In late 2006 the two remaining Moshi Moshi founders decided they wanted to get back to their one-off 7” release roots and the Moshi Moshi Singles Club was born. The intention was to try and release one 7” each month by a new up-and-coming artist. It would be limited to 1000 and only be available in a select group of indie stores. The artwork would be restricted to one colour and be designed by the bands themselves. Now some 40+ releases later the singles club’s roster makes an impressive list – (including) Kate Nash, Late of The Pier, Friendly Fires, Lykke Li, Florence and The Machine, Kindness, Dananananayckroyd. Disclosure. In 2011 Moshi Moshi expanded its remit by partnering up with some very talented young A&R folk to set up the imprints Tender Age, Not Even, Apricot and Dream Beach. Working under the Moshi Moshi umbrella these new labels have already yielded a clutch of exciting releases by artists from as far afield as Kenya and Seattle.

At the same time as running the record label Moshi Moshi Management has been quietly guiding the career of Metronomy and Slow Club as well as producers Ash Workman and Ollie Bayston. From 2012 this side of the business started to expand dramatically and now features a sizeable roster of emerging artists.

Looking back on the Moshi Moshi roster (particularly since the label ‘went fulltime’ in 2004) it’s a collection that bears comparison with any of its peers. For a label run by two people with no financial backing, it’s nothing short of an inspiration.

Fabrice Lig is considered by his peers & techno fans around the globe as a world class producer.

He is well known for his particularly funky use of Roland’s sh101 analog synth, and for his particularly emotional and personal melodies and harmonies.

There is no doubt that after more than 20 years of teaching himself production processes, complex midi programming and harmonies, Fabrice’s sound is unique and recognisable among the thousands of weekly techno releases.

Demonstrations of these skills appear on the crème de la crème of electronic music labels such as KMS (Kevin Saunderson), Planet-e (Carl Craig), Submerge, R&S, Third Ear, 7th City Records (Dan Bell), F-Communications (Laurent Garnier) , Versatile, Classic, Compost, Subject Detroit, Motech, Raygun, Playhouse Records, Kanzleramt (Heiko Laux), 70 Drums (Ken Ishii), Clone, Trapez ltd and so on...An exceptional discography into mythic labels, into history of electronic music.
By the end of 1998, after his first DJ and production experiences, under the Interwaves and Bug Orchestra nicknames, Fabrice was elevated to the ranks of the Detroit musical elite by Mad Mike himself, thanks to his classic remix of E-Dancer’s Banjo track on KMS: “Fabrice is a part of Detroit music's history by being the first white producer to record on KMS, and the first double groove recording from NSC”.
Fabrice has built a solid discography and reputation, confirmed by his reknowned appearances at the world’s best clubs & festival line ups such as Panorama Bar-Berlin, Fabric - London, Womb-Tokyo, Detroit Fuse-In Festival, Fuse - Brussels, Loft - Barcelona, Sub Club - Glasgow, The End - London, Sonar Festival, world famous official Montreux Jazz Festival, Bourges festival (On stage with Jean-Michel Jarre ), to name but a few. One of the highlight of Fabrice dj career is the paper into Detroit Free press where his performance was voted best dj Set of 2005’s Detroit Fuse-in Festival.
Fabrice also collaborated and remixed some artists like Laurent Garnier, Kevin Saunderson, Agoria, DJ Hell, Ken Ishii, Kenny Hawkes, Rob Mello, Frederic Galliano, Chymera, Trüby Trio…
After his last Soul Designer's album on Third Ear (2007), Fabrice decided to take a bit of a break from music and concentrate on some educational projects. Nevertheless, he released his classic Purple Raw EP on Versatile in that period, as well as some own EPs on R&S, Subject Detroit, .. next to a few remixes. Over the last few months however, Fabrice quietly prepared the celebration of 20 years of music by producing a new album with the idea to make a strong “come back” with fresh material for late 2014.
And when Carl Craig first heard "Galactic Soul Odysseys", he instantly decided to invite Fabrice to join Planet E's prestigious family. Once again, Fabrice work is entering history of music through one of the most respected labels from the techno community.
Fabrice is really excited to be back on tour for live performances around the globe and to present that new material to his fans...

As Jean-Michel Jarre said in an interview for MTV : "What is touching me in Fabrice Lig's career is the way he is following his own line, without caring about trends, and that's the path an artist should follow. It is not post Detroit, it's an emotion"

Our most beloved pieces of music are usually more than just the sum of beats, chords and notes: they also reflect on a period in the life of its producer. In addition to the musical experience each work also contains current life situations, memories and future expectations, some included intentionally, some unconsciously. 

Somehow it doesn't seem appropriate to put these SLICES OF LIFE only onto a hard drive amongst hundreds and thousands of imageless files, fearing that the next crash will delete and destroy everything. This is why instead of watching a list of track titles on a screen there are still so many music lovers who prefer to hold the result of all these hours of work and musical commitment in their hands as timeless documents printed onto vinyl. 

Therefore  Slices Of Life is featuring vinyl as preferred media for deep, warm sounding, funky and diverse club music.
