DJ MARYAN was born in Hokkaido in North Japan.

After accepting an invitation to stay with a House DJ friend in the UK in 1999, he became aware of the emerging Dance music culture, and on returning to Japan started to DJ himself.

After gaining experience in the House and Techno and Rave scenes, he discovered Psychedelic Trance, and quickly started to make a name for himself in the Japanese scene, becoming resident DJ for the SUNS party organisers in Hokkaido, playing at many of their parties and in particular outdoor festivals. In summer 2003 he had a fateful encounter with DJ KOKI - now Phantasm record's DJ in residence in Osaka - and became a member of Koki's TRIPLE X collective. From 2006 onwards he has been the spearhead of TRIPLE X NORTH, based in Hokkaido, playing alongside the biggest names from the Psy trance world.

Since 2011 Maryan has been a PHANTASM label DJ, famous for his thoughtful, eclectic sets that reflect his Techno and House roots as well as a love for the beauty of nature and of course Full on Psy trance!!
