Artist, J Chinnasz has returned to the scene with a body of work that stands apart
from what we have come to expect of the young creator, which is both unique and
nostalgic. The project “Cool N Cozy” features other familiar artists, including members
of the music conglomerate, “Gelato”.
The artist has curated a body of work that has grown far from his “Lovamon”
days, in which the theme of that project questioned the integrity of love, relationships,
and navigating through life with uncertainty. “Cool N Cozy” strays from the theme of
ambiguity, but displays growth, confidence, and complexity. With songs such as
“Chinntro” and “Cool n Cozy”, the artist challenges the naysayers of their ability to
perform at an elaborate level. The artist then displays his musical range and depth with
songs such as “Fantasy”, “Ride”, and the already released record, “Twos”. These songs
demonstrate the artist’s ability to exhibit humor, vulnerability, and intensity.
It is clear that J Chinnasz is making the statement that he is a force to be
reckoned with, and that he is ready and willing to take on the challenge of diversifying
his sound and capabilities. “Cool N Cozy” is just the tip of the iceberg for this up and
coming artist.
