Here's my bio:

Rob Lloyd was a member of London punk trio Betamax for a few years.
During his time in Betamax they had many highs, being signed to HTT Records, releasing 5 singles & an E.P and playing some great gigs including supporting Graham Coxon on his UK A+E tour.
After coming to a creative block in Betamax, he decided to take some time out and concentrate on solo work. 
It was slow moving at first trying to find creative energies on his own, but after experimenting with different sounds in his home studio, he would find his creative flow and new songs started to emerge.
Soon after, the first solo release was ready and in 2013 he would release "She's in Love".
After a few reviews, some local airplay and "She's in Love" reaching number 4 in the MRU Music Charts, things started to progress.
Not long after this U.S label Oreya Records approached with the offer of a handshake publishing deal. In September 11th 2013 they released "My Friend & Me" as a general single release.
In July 22nd 2014, Oreya Records released "Two Axons" which would be the first official album under the name BetaRob.
The album was well received making it in to the ITunes official album chart peaking at number 24. As well as getting extensive airplay in Europe & America, a few of the tracks also received some good reviews (which can be found below).
Since then to keep the momentum going, in 2015 Rob Lloyd has gone on to release "Like a Machine" & "Too Late, Too Soon" (reviewed by BBC Introducing's Sam Bonham below) as free downloads which can be found on his SoundCloud page.

I am strong minded, creative individual, with a hard work ethic and no drama attitude. I have spent most of my life, due to my family's circumstances, off of the goodwill of others and it has granted me a profound appreciation for those around me. I am a hopeless dreamer and optimist that was bitten by the bug of pessimism while upon expedition of the darkest jungles in our minds. I feel the weight of responsibilities, to myself and my planet. I harbor as much love as I do respect, and it is garnered by mirroring my devotion. I am open. I am alive. I choose to speak the words that move and vibrate the universe. I hope to make music and transcend the restrictions of language. I want to tell stories that move you without saying a word. I want to write music that touches and takes your words from you. I love all of you and I want you to know the beauty that is locked away in the recess of my soul. I am burning inside for the chance to share what I have.

Music to me is an escape. 
A definition of emotion captured in a moment. It is what the author was feeling in it's time of production. 
It holds no bias or judgement and represents truly what a person is feeling with room for interpretation.
A song is much more than that.
It's a collection of emotion. Vibrations that move the universe.

Plaid (pronounced \ˈplad\) are the London based electronic music duo Andy Turner & Ed Handley. They are two of the founding members of The Black Dog, releasing their first EP in 1989 and signing to Warp Records in 1991. They have used many other pseudonyms including; Atypic, Repeats and Balil, but have focusing on Plaid since 1995. They have released 11 studio albums as Plaid, from 1991's 'Mbuki Mvuki', to 2022's 'Feorm Falorx'. 

Various sources claim they took their name “Plaid” from the Welsh word for “Party”.
