Ever since the industrial era, man and machine have always kept a tight relationship, evolving with time. First created as a tool to relieve man from hassling tasks, it grew into an actual need, always aiming to better the human condition. It has a simple purpose, to improve on one’s physical and mental faculties in order to transcend simple humanity.

But technology has its downsides: over surveillance, control of the masses and voyeurism have become the norm in an ever more virtual world. Mankind’s control over itself will bring about its own demise. In order to forget everyday life, to try and go against nature, the use of the machine has become a new way out, along with the advent of a parallel world, virtual reality.

For the first EP in the Utopia series, Bobby immerses us in a dark and decadent universe, with 4 tracks that will let you share his vision of a better world.

While recently traveling through Eastern Europe, Boomslang Recordings label boss, Gigan, discovered a dark and mysterious cave deep in the country of Slovenia. Upon entering it was quickly discovered that this was no ordinary cave but a lair for a ghastly creature that stood before him. The beasts eyes glowed bright yellow in the dark. Its snarl was deafening. Fangs sharp as razors. It was defending something, but what?

The beast took stance and let out an eerie howl. Noticing bones on the ground as the moonlight shined through a small crack, Gigan picked up a sharp rib bone. The beast charged but our hero was ready. From out of the darkness arose the victor carrying a small chest. Inside the chest was a collection of tunes never heard by human ears and only spoke about in folklore and bedtime stories.

The Temple of Boom Volume 1 is curation of the first set of these tracks found in the cave by heavy hitting producers, some making their debuts on Boomslang Recordings. First up is the production group CPTL PNSHMNT featuring Forever Heaven out of Puerto Rico who’ve been seen on Korsakov, C2D, and Neuropunk. Next up is Kadilak whose Rolled Up release broke the Beatport Top 10 and sat at #1 for weeks. Xsonsence returns to Boomslang with collab tune with fellow Russian producer Slayt, and English producer and professional drummer, Parix, makes his drum and bass debut with a tune called ‘Halo’.
