A grandiose painting. I can picture myself watching a film with this soundtrack!

...they were fishing off a pier on the west bank of the Pascagoula River in Mississippi when they heard a whirring/whizzing sound, saw two flashing blue lights and an oval shaped object 30–40 feet across and 8–10 feet high. Parker and Hickson claimed that they were "conscious but paralyzed" while three "creatures" took them aboard the object and subjected them to an examination before releasing them.[2][1]

It seems in life we can progress in one area, be totally winning, and yet losing twice as much in another direction... everything can feel very unreal... this is what this poem is about.

i am walking in the meadow
light in step… laughing
dismissive of stately monsters
and wicked things
nothing touches me now

there are no giants here
none who dare take me on
their poison speech… a shattered bone
pointed arrows six feet under

stillness thrives a little too much
solitary… in my garden
i am all unnatural
concealing how i’ve learned to drown

can anyone see how it happens
how easy it is
to sink in a waterless world
free of monsters and arrows

lightly i wade in the meadow
seeds of laughter fall to the earth
i tell myself nothing is ever real
i am always… always dreaming

Hello! Thank you so much for listening and your kind comments! We might not always reply these days, but we do care a lot! We really love to listen all of your music too. Working on our energy and time management, and looking forward to coming back in and hearing what everyone’s been up as well!
