We are extremely excited to have noplayjr for APR Episode 21! There aren’t any games when it comes to noplayjr, he’s always carried the go-getter mentality and it shows in his sound. He was first featured on APR’s first ever audio-visual on Matson’s guest episode. In his guest mix, he’s brought some west coast bounce, grooves, and all around wavy vibes. Here are a few words from the man himself:

“I’ve never seen any other outcome for my life. Music is ingrained in my soul. At 12 years old, I took the plunge into creating. Growing up in a small town in Oregon, there aren’t a lot of outside influences.. But I would just listen and learn. Over time, I have only become more invested in this art form. I don’t play any instruments or have any formal training.. it’s in the name lol, YouTube made fr. But despite those obstacles, I’ve never seen them as such. I had only seen more opportunity to learn and grow this new skill set. For a long time, my prideful and perfectionist tendencies made it to where I would second guess everything.. ultimately to end up not showing the world anything. That had to change. A year ago and some change, I jumped back into producing full stop. I can say wholeheartedly that I fell back in love.

I learned to dj in less than a week. I love music and will never give it up. My goal is to inspire everyone to take what you’re good at and never stop.. you will get to the place you envisioned, it’s just a matter of time.”
