A "tune" that came into existence when Mick Rippon send me a sketch for a melody, on which I, Jeroen Tel, evolved on within Renoise (Renoise is a music tracker (the best in the world) for those who don't know). I send it to Zubareus, a brilliant guitarist from Russia to add a magic guitar solo. I mixed it all together and this track was born. So, again, I proudly present another co-op between friends. Ultimately, an aural holiday gift for captain_amore on the Halfy & Winks Discord hub.

What just started as a simple yet stagnant tribute to a revered gaming icon, beyond the Dream SMP fandom (now also mostly stagnant) turned into an experiment in doing both hard renaissance, frenchcore, rhythm game music tropes, and imparting a blood-sated soul of legend in music form, all in one shot. Maybe next year, I might flesh everything else a bit more and submit the definitive version on Cosmic Radio or any other upcoming rhythm game music contest...

So yeah, I'm back to EGTS, but with a touhou remix this time. Since I was tasked with making a song at about 340bpm, so I figured continuing my touhou speedcore series here would be a good choice

Quasar Pulse ~Iridescent Ray Of Destruction~

Inspired by recent video footage of the giant squid, this piece features the lovely Roland RS-505 string machine on all synth duties. It was a little tricky for me, as I've grown accustomed to using some form of MIDI and/or CV in, and this ancient beast can only be played live! Can you say, old school?! Note that any phase or flange effect comes from the Paraphonic's own fabulous Ensemble section.
