Arts Faculty (created March 10, 2008) is a Los Angeles based artists collective.  What began as collaborative “ARTING” sessions has evolved into a wide range of joint projects.  The Collective utilizes a variety of media including drawing, painting, printing, video, sound, performance, murals, and large-scale sculptural installations.  Arts Faculty is most well know for creating work that provides and alternative view to the contemporary working process, and expands the paradigm of working collaboratively.  Their work and media displays a unique perspective revealing availability, combinations, and cooperation.  The work and the process are just as colorful and intricate as the artists uniting to create them.
Arts Faculty is composed of a core group of three artists: Montana Joe a.k.a. Montana Jose a.k.a. Whack Family (BFA – University of Montana ’06), Devin Anderson (BFA Otis ’13), and Tom “FuzzBeast” Blanchard (MFA Claremont Graduate University ’08.) Although these three artists head all the projects, the Collective is always open and inviting to as many artists as available and willing to participate in the project.
Past shows have included extensive gallery and warehouse installations, commissioned murals, and more traditional art exhibitions.  Most recently, the Collective has focused its efforts on creating a large-scale installation for the Church of F.U.N., a music venue in Hollywood, CA.  As always the Arts Faculty is creating new work and expanding its limits.
