After their move from Australia, Sanctuary have been immersed in the Berlin scene for close to a decade, co-hosting the former Altered Soul Experiment nights and founding their label, Life Classics. The label started as a home for their edits, then later branched out into a mix series and club residency at OHM.

For Trushmix they made a one hour and forty minutes mix. House, deep tech and late 90´s top early 00´s on the menu. Loaded with firm favourites and a number of tunes we've been bumping in the clubs over the last few months. This one hits like a warm breeze so turn up the dial and roll off into the sunset.

"Having met a delightful Mantissa representative at Field Maneuvers last summer, it’s taken us a hot minute to plot some suitably noteworthy selections and get something in the Tascam. Hopefully it was worth the wait.

This was recorded on a Friday night, as we skulled back some vinho verde and dug through the collection together one last time, before one of our residents leaves this iteration of Digger’s HQ for foreign shores. After enjoying a summer of harder fare at festivals, we took things a little bit deeper and darker than normal, but the mix comes out the other side with the usual Digger’s Paradise style intertwined throughout.

Moscow Records’ first release of 2016 comes from label boss Archie Hamilton, remixed by Romanian talent Ali Nasser.

The title track on the A side is an uplifting piece of minimal house blending a familiar synth line with a trippy vocal and his characteristic groove.

Ali Nasser’s remix on the flip brings together both classic percussion and synth elements, in a contemporary style, constructing a timeless house classic.

Jayson Wynters is “a tough artist to pin down” (FACT) and he likes it that way. Since debuting on mentor Mr G’s Phoenix G label with Unfamiliar Territories – a thumping series of late-night, analogue workouts – the producer and DJ has ventured in many directions.
 
One minute he’s on a deep excursion at Berghain or Free Rotation Festival and the next … he’s in a gallery presenting a talk about storytelling in reggae music. Or curating culture at multi-concept space Artum, which he co-founded in Birmingham. 
 
His releases for labels such as Delsin and Don’t Be Afraid oscillate between house and techno, pressing the outer limits of electronic music. But he’ll never stop drawing on other influences such as sound system, soul, jazz, hip-hop and martial arts.
 
Wynters’ sets can be forceful and intense but also meditative, putting dancers in an ecstatic flow state. And always with a meticulous approach to craft, just like his productions.
